Weight - The Most Important Determinant Of Health In Children

In the presence of obesity, the problems are great and can be solved only with the comprehensive participation of family, society and the state.

Over the last decade, nutrition and dietetics have become one of the most widely discussed topics. Specialists and journalists promote the principles of healthy eating and significantly increase the culture in the field of healthy eating. Unfortunately, this is only at the level of specialists and journalists.

Education, in terms of proper nutrition, in school and kindergartens is at a very low level. The education system is indebted to the problems of nutrition. Nutrition is one of the most powerful exogenous factors.

I believe that in kindergartens nutrition is healthy and balanced. The diet plan is prepared under the supervision of doctors of the Ministry of Health.
The real problem occurs when children enter school.

There, there is no more control over the diet and the street begins to feed Bulgarian students. There are huge changes in eating habits and behavior in adolescents, and these do not seem to be the same children.

There are also huge mistakes in nutrition, even in the family environment.

When the state has abdicated, the role of parents in creating healthy eating habits in adolescents is most important. It is good in the morning for the mother to prepare a hot breakfast for her child, to put an apple or a few carrots in the bag. It is the duty of the parents to educate him regarding healthy eating. They need to be interested in and control what their child has eaten during the day so that they can catch up on the necessary foods that are not accepted with dinner.

Parents are waiting for the state to take care of their children's nutrition, but the state is poor and does not allocate enough funds to create healthy eating programs. There are also many factors that distort good social programs, such as the "glass of warm milk" program. At the same time, school buffets are full of over 18 types of snacks and chips, dozens of types of sweetened drinks in which the fruit component is zero.

Children eat the same type of food: pizzas and donuts, which are delicious but low in nutrients and high in fat.

The main problem is the lack of good physical activity in adolescents. Children do not play sports actively and as a result become obese. During the day, children move only 4 hours, and the rest of the time they sleep, play computer games, watch TV.

All experts warn that immobilization affects not only weight but also the health of internal organs. It is known that if we leave the limbs without the necessary load, problems appear with all organs and systems, because they receive impulses for good function precisely from the movement of the muscles.

The combination of adverse factors naturally reflects on the most important determinant of children's health - weight.
In the presence of obesity, the problems are great and can be solved only with the comprehensive participation of family, society and the state.

There should be sponsorship of healthy eating for children in schools. Regulations have been created, but there must be good control over the implementation of the clauses. The presence of unhealthy or defective foods on school cafeteria stands should be banned. More seasonal fruits, whole grains and vitamin foods should be sold.
