Carotenoids promote proper cellular communication, which reduces the likelihood of cancer cells.

Consumption of orange-colored fruits and vegetables rich in carotenoids can reduce the risk of breast cancer .

A study combining data from the previous eight and the results of 3,000 people showed that women with higher levels of carotenoids in the blood had a lower risk of breast tumors.

The effect is most pronounced in estrogen-dependent cancer.

The group of carotenoids includes: beta-carotene - high in carrots and some fruits, lycopene - in tomatoes, which has recently been highlighted as a protective factor for prostate cancer , lutein, which can be obtained from cabbage, spinach, corn , eggs, citrus fruits and has a prominent role in terms of vision.

Consumption of citrus fruits and carrots, which have the highest content of carotenoids, can reduce the risk of tumors in general. Carotenoids promote proper cellular communication, which is a prerequisite for limiting the appearance of cancer cells.
