Eggs with sausage in the shape of a heart

A few additional movements will turn the preparation of an ordinary breakfast into the process of creating an edible holiday valentine .

 

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 2 pcs.

  • Sausage - 2 pcs.

  • Pepper and salt, greens and oil - to taste.

Cooking technology

Clean the sausage and cut it in half lengthwise, without cutting to the end. Turn the two parts of the sausage and connect the ends to form a  heart . Fasten with a toothpick.

Fry the sausage in vegetable oil on one side. Turn over to the other side, carefully break the egg inside the sausage. Salt and pepper. Leave on the fire until the eggs are ready.

Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with chopped greens.

 

Toast with scrambled eggs

Breakfast sets the mood for the whole day. To awaken a romantic mood, it is worth starting with breakfast. Dishes should not be too complex and fancy. The main thing is creativity and appropriate presentation.

Ingredients

  • Toast from white bread - 2 pcs.

  • Egg - 2 pcs.

  • Tomato sauce.

  • Vegetable oil.

  • Pepper and salt to taste.

Cooking technology

Cut out a heart in the toast. Heat the oil well in a pan, lay out the bread, fry a little on one side. Turn the toast to the other side and crack the egg into the holes. Season with salt, pepper and cover, reduce the heat to low or turn it off altogether. Remove the toasts when the egg white is completely set.

Serve scrambled eggs on toast, garnished with drops of tomato sauce in the shape  of a heart .

 

Pizza

Everyone loves pizza, so this is simply an unbeatable idea: to prepare a delicious pizza with ham, cheese and tomatoes, changing only one thing - the shape, thus turning it into a festive valentine .

Ingredients for the base

  • Flour - 175 g.

  • Dry yeast - 1 tsp.

  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp.

  • Warm water - 125 ml.

  • A pinch of salt.

Ingredients for the filling

  • Tomatoes - 100 g.

  • Tomato sauce - 3 tbsp.

  • Ham - 6 slices.

  • Mozzarella - 100 g.

  • Grated Parmesan - 50 g.

  • Dried garlic - 1/2 tsp.

  • Dried oregano - 1/2 tsp.

  • Ground pepper - 1/4 tsp.

  • Rosemary and basil for garnish.

Cooking technology

Mix flour, yeast and salt. Mix oil and water separately. Gradually pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and knead a smooth dough. Place on a table sprinkled with flour and knead for 2-3 minutes.

Place the dough in a bowl and brush the outside with olive oil. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave in a warm place for about 40 minutes, until the dough has doubled in size.

After that, knead the dough again for 1-2 minutes. Roll out the dough to form a circle with a diameter of 30 cm, place on a baking sheet. Give the dough  the shape of a heart  - in any way that is convenient for you, you can give the dough a shape close to the  heart with your hands , or you can simply cut out the excess parts of the dough to give the base the desired shape.

Spread the dough with tomato sauce. Put fresh or canned tomatoes on the pizza. Sprinkle with dried garlic, ground pepper and oregano. Add sliced ​​mozzarella, slices of ham and sprinkle with grated parmesan. Garnish with rosemary and basil.

Send the pizza to the oven, heated to 180 degrees, and bake until it turns brown.

 

Roll with salmon

Ingredients

  • Rice for sushi - 120 g.

  • Nori - 0.5 pcs.

  • Salmon fillet - 50 g.

  • Japanese mayonnaise - 10 g.

  • Flying fish caviar - 10 g.

Cooking technology

We are preparing a dressing for rice. Mix sugar (300 g), rice vinegar (200 g) and sea salt (to taste) in a saucepan with a thick bottom. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil, remove from heat. Add koba seaweed washed in cold water (2 g) to the mixture. After that, let the dressing infuse for 30-50 minutes at room temperature.

Next, we prepare rice. To make the rice crumbly, wash it 7 times, then soak it in cold water for at least half an hour. Then drain the water. Pour water over the rice again and cook in the usual way for 10-12 minutes at a temperature of 100 degrees. When the rice is ready, put it in a bowl, mix it with a wooden spoon and pour the dressing at the rate of 150 g of dressing per 1.5 kg of ready rice. Stir constantly until the mass becomes uniform and slightly sticky. Leave the rice to infuse - cover it with a cloth and leave it for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.

Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat (makisu) wrapped in cling film and spread a medium-thick layer of rice on it, covering the entire surface of the seaweed. Put the salmon fillet cut into strips in the middle, spread it with mayonnaise, add some caviar and twist the roll. With the help of a machete, give the roll a pyramid shape, and then use a bamboo stick to make an indentation on one of the three sides of the roll. Cut into portions.

 

Chocolate heart cakes

Fragrant  heart-shaped brownies  will not leave anyone indifferent on Valentine's Day .

Ingredients

  • Flour - 1/2 cup.

  • Chocolate - 60 g.

  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp.

  • Melted butter - 1/2 cup.

  • Eggs - 2 pcs.

  • Sugar - 1 cup.

  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp.

  • Salt - 1/8 tsp.

  • Powdered sugar and berries - for decoration.

Cooking technology

Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

Transfer the dough to a 21*21 cm greased and floured pan and bake for 25 minutes.

Cool the brownies for 15 minutes. Cut brownies using  heart -shaped cookie cutters . Before serving, sprinkle the cakes with powdered sugar and decorate with strawberries or other berries.

You can also immediately bake brownies in separate  heart -shaped cupcake molds .

 

Dessert of yogurt, strawberries and ice cream

Ingredients

  • Fresh or frozen strawberries - 100 g.

  • Gelatin - 5 g.

  • Strawberry jam - 20 g.

  • Natural yogurt - 50 g.

  • Creamy ice cream - 50 g.

  • Sugar to taste.

Cooking technology

Mix yogurt with sugar, ice cream, strawberries and strawberry jam. Beat in a blender until smooth.

Pre-soak the gelatin in warm water, when it swells, add it to the other ingredients. Mix thoroughly and pour the dessert into heart molds and put in a cold place to harden.

Before serving, dip the mold in hot water for a couple of seconds, and when the dessert leaves the mold, turn it over onto a plate.

 

Mini cheesecakes

A small dessert in the shape of the main symbol For lovers combines spicy berry jelly with delicate cream cheese cream and sand crumbs.

Ingredients for the base

  • Butter - 60 g.

  • Shortbread - 150 g.

Ingredients for the cream

  • Cream cheese - 500 g.

  • White chocolate - 80 g.

  • Cream 33% — 200 ml.

  • Vanilla and sugar to taste.

  • Gelatin - 8 g.

Ingredients for jelly

  • Sugar - 50 g.

  • Berries - 250 g.

  • Gelatin - 6 g.

Cooking technology

Break the cookies into pieces and grind them in a blender until they become crumbs. Melt the butter and mix thoroughly with the crumbs. Pour the mass into the molds in a thin layer, flatten and tamp with your fingers. Send to the freezer for 30 minutes.

To prepare the cream cheese cream, soak the gelatin in warm water. Pour 100 ml of cream into a saucepan. Heat, add white chocolate and mix until smooth.

Add the gelatin, heat until it dissolves completely (but do not boil) and remove from the heat. Add cream cheese, vanilla and beat with a whisk.

Whip the other 100 ml of cream to soft peaks and gently mix into the cream cheese cream. If desired, add more sugar. Put the resulting cream-cheese cream into the molds, not forgetting to leave a place for the berry jelly. Send the forms to solidify - for a couple of hours in the refrigerator or for 20 minutes in the freezer.

To prepare berry jelly, soak gelatin in water. Cover the berries with sugar and heat over low heat for 7-10 minutes. Then grind them in a blender, mix with gelatin and stir until it is completely dissolved. Cool the berry puree to room temperature and pour into molds.

Decorate the dessert with whole berries and send it to the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. To remove the cheesecakes from the silicone molds, run a sharp knife along the edge and lift them up a little.

 

And

  • Vegetables and fruits - cut fruits into  heart-shaped pieces  and serve raw or cooked.

  • Coffee - if you like coffee with milk, then cut out a stencil with a  heart from paper  and sprinkle the drink with cinnamon or grated chocolate.
