Why Eat Strawberries?

What are strawberries useful for and in which conditions is it advisable to avoid them?

Strawberries are rich in vitamin C. It is enough to eat only a bowl and get the necessary daily dose of it. Of course, the fresher the strawberries, the more useful and rich in vitamins they are.

Strawberries support our immunity not only because of the presence of vitamin C they contain, but also because of the antioxidants in the fruit. Antioxidants deal with the bad effects of inflammatory processes caused by free radicals, which prevents the occurrence of cancer.

Thanks to them, we can count on a longer preservation of brain functions and cognitive abilities, despite the advancing age or adverse conditions to which we are subjected from time to time.

The fruit is good for the heart for at least two reasons. First, because strawberries are rich in fiber , which also helps maintain good cholesterol levels , in addition to intestinal peristalsis. Second, because of the presence of potassium , which is necessary for the normalization of blood pressure and maintenance of water-electrolyte balance.

Due to the presence of calcium, magnesium, in combination with potassium, strawberries become a food valuable for bone health.

They also contain iron, manganese, copper, selenium , zinc , phosphorus, as well as B vitamins, vitamin E.

The content of vitamin A and beta-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin makes them useful for the eyes and eyesight fruit.

Strawberries have little lysine , a less common amino acid that helps us resist viruses. And tryptophan , which is needed for serotonin synthesis and our sense of happiness and enjoyment.

80% of strawberries contain water, which makes them a suitable dessert if you want to lose weight. In 200 g of strawberries there are only 65-80 kcal.

The unpleasant thing is that regardless of the amount consumed, it is impossible to get enough with strawberries. On the contrary, they would "open" the appetite even more, and large amounts can irritate the stomach. Although they would have a cleansing effect, consuming them on an empty stomach is not for every stomach. The more sensitive can combine strawberries with yogurt, cottage cheese and even cream. This combination balances their increased acidity. Not recommended in the presence of ulcers , sick stomach and sensitive intestines. It should not be forgotten that 100 g of strawberries contain 5 g of sugar and if we have overdosed on them, then the weight loss diet is certainly compromised.

Strawberries are fruits that can cause a severe allergic reaction . The allergy can manifest itself in itching, redness and inflammation of the skin, in some even swelling.

With their increased consumption, care should be taken when taking drugs to treat high blood pressure (enalapril maleate), as it can burden the kidneys.
