Besides giving crisp hue of lettuce, broccoli contain fiber , potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C . They belong to the cruciferous family, which means that they are extremely rich in sulforaphane - a powerful compound that increases the body's defenses and eliminates toxins that lead to cancer.
