Anemia is a condition in which the body lacks enough red blood cells. As a result, the supply of oxygen to the organs and tissues is disrupted. Patients suffering from anemia experience fatigue and lack of strength. In addition to medication, anemia is also affected by certain foods. Here are some of them.
In the first place, of course, we put green leafy vegetables. They are a rich source of very important nutrients. They are extremely useful for people with anemia. They will provide them with stable amounts of iron, which is essential in the treatment of anemia. Green leafy vegetables can be cooked in soups or eaten raw in the form of salads. Such foods are: spinach, cabbage, lettuce, sorrel, dock, purslane and others.
Meat. They are mandatory in anemia. Red meat, liver and seafood are sources of heme iron, which is easily absorbed by the body. Red meats such as beef, pork, venison are extremely rich in iron. White meats such as chicken, turkey, duck have slightly lower iron content but are also not to be underestimated.
Fresh fruit. They are a source of many vitamins and minerals that are necessary for the proper functioning of the body. Some fruits have a beneficial effect in the treatment of anemia. You can add fruits such as pomegranate, apples and bananas to your daily menu. These fruits will increase the synthesis of hemoglobin in the body. Freshly squeezed juices from these fruits also have a good effect in this condition
Almonds. Almonds can work wonders for anemia. Try to consume them every day. They are a source of essential fatty acids and other nutrients. In case of anemia, it is recommended to soak the almonds in advance. Soak a handful of nuts overnight, peel them in the morning and add them to your breakfast. They also have a beneficial effect on heart health.
Foods are rich in probiotics. Probiotics have a positive effect on intestinal health. Indirectly, they also help treat anemia. Probiotics support better absorption of vitamin B12 and iron. Yogurt and its derivatives are a source of beneficial bacteria.
