6 Rules For Proper Nutrition In The Summer

How to avoid the typical mistakes that cause us heartburn, gas and "wolf hunger".

Usually due to the heat in the summer we lose our appetite, but we are also prone to the biggest mistakes in nutrition. An eloquent example is when we sit down at the table late at night after starving all day. The result is a full stomach, poor sleep, stomach problems, bad mood the next day ...

It is clear that while in winter we need more calories to maintain the body in the summer we can afford a diet. Now is the right time without much effort to settle down pleasantly. The first rule when eating in the summer is to limit as much as possible foods rich in fat .  1

During the warm season we can freely eat any fruit . However, it is good to include them in our menu in the morning. They are rich in water, which further contributes to maintaining water balance in the body and vitamins that our body needs constantly.

On the contrary, taken in the evening fruits and even vegetables cause fermentation in the intestinal tract and sometimes heartburn.  2

Dairy products are also not among the most suitable in the heat, because of the risk of quickly spoiling or creating heaviness in the stomach, in cases where they contain more fat. But on the other hand, dairy products are extremely useful for stomach comfort and immunity this season. One of the best snacks in the summer is the lactic acid product. Strive to choose the most natural possible - made from real milk, fruit syrup, fruit. The best way, of course, is to prepare one yourself. Adding to the preferred milk with chopped or ground fruit two spoons of oatmeal and a few walnuts make an indispensable healthy food.

A useful way to consume milk and maintain the intestinal microflora is our tarator, which you could afford in the evening, because of the specific aromatic spice in it - garlic. Bulgarian cheese is also suitable, but as part of the morning or evening menu, for example in a piece the size of a matchbox in a bowl of buckwheat in the morning or salad in the evening.  3

It is not good for the body to consume fried products in the heat, so mekis, pancakes even, meatballs, schnitzels, sausages, french fries and more. leave for another season. Both dairy and meat products can be dangerous, so watch for their shelf life, their proper supply in the commercial network and in restaurants and home storage. Choose light vegetable dishesfor lunch and dinner, which do not delay. Be careful with seafood!  4

Experts advise breakfast to be early, around 8 o'clock, lunch - also, if possible, until 12.30 pm. Do not miss meals during the day , so as not to feel uncontrollable "wolf hunger" in the evening. 5

It is a rule to drink a lot of fluids in the summer , but not all are the right ones. All caffeine-containing ones are the enemy for maintaining the body's hydration. Exclude - coffee, black tea, cola or take one dose of the listed drinks early in the morning, if it is warm. Fruit juices and carbonated drinks are also unsuitable due to the high content of sugars and calories and other harmful compounds in the latter.
Water is the most effective drink when we are thirsty. Homemade lemonade , adding mint or ginger to it will only contribute to our additional refreshment and enjoyment of the drink.  6
