A Subscription Was Found Against Artificial Colors

In this article, learn more about A Subscription Was Found Against Artificial Colors. The organizers hope to encourage other manufacturers to take the step..

The yellow cheese in Kraft Foods  ' Macaroni and Yellow Cheese has led to an online petition to remove two artificial colors from the popular semi-finished product. According to the organizers of the web-based subscription, the colorants Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 are disturbing ingredients that are already banned in some European countries.

Organizers point to a number of studies linking synthetic substances to an increased risk of diseases such as asthma, rashes and migraines.

However, the manufacturer claims to use only approved and safe dyes. According to him, the cited studies are unconvincing and do not prove that Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 carry an increased risk of chronic diseases. He also points to the large number of people around the world who consume the product on a daily basis and have not received any complaints.

However, many people think that the amount of artificial ingredients in modern food is too high. Many people believe that their use should be limited and they themselves should be replaced with natural analogues.

Kraft Foods produces 14 types of yellow pasta, some of which contain the controversial colors. The organizers of the subscription hope that a possible successful completion of the initiative would convince a number of large manufacturers to abandon the use of synthetic ingredients.
