Against Cough - Dark Chocolate

An ingredient in chocolate is even more effective than one of the widely used cough medicines - codeine.

An ingredient in dark chocolate can "eradicate" the causes of persistent cough . It accompanies most colds and flu during the winter season.

Persistent cough may last for more than two weeks after the underlying cause has disappeared. Symptoms include insomnia , chest muscle pain and urinary incontinence. In severe cases, chronic cough can lead to vomiting, dizziness.

Although it is difficult to determine the exact cause of the condition, among the most common culprits are: smoking, asthma , postnasal secretion, acid reflux.

The ingredient in chocolate is even more effective than one of the widely used cough medicines - codeine.

Its effect has been proven during research. The researchers found that participants taking theobromine had greater relief of symptoms than those taking codeine and those receiving placebo for suppressing cough.

The researchers also stressed that the ingredient found in dark chocolate can relieve cough without causing side effects, which is typical of medications.

According to some scientists, consuming a piece of dark chocolate daily can also be an effective method for people who suffer from a persistent cough. It should not be forgotten, however, that daily consumption of chocolate can have some negative effects, including the accumulation of extra pounds .
