Albinism

In this article, learn more about Albinism. In albinism, it is important to eat foods rich in malanin and enzymes..

Albinism is an inherited disease characterized by impaired production of pigments, especially melanin, as a result of which the skin, hair and iris are partially or completely absent.

Useful foods for albinism

As this disease lacks melanin and enzymes, they must be obtained through the consumption of certain products. It is necessary to maintain a proper diet for the affected eyes.

How is melanin formed? With the help of the interaction of the extremely important amino acids tyrosine and tryptophan. In other words, in order to activate the production of pigment, products containing said amino acids must be taken.

Tyrosine is found in:
  • liver;
  • meat and fish dishes;
  • avocado;
  • almonds;
  • bean cultures.
To get tryptophan to eat:
  • Brown rice;
  • dates;
  • millet;
  • sesame seeds;
  • oysters.

Both amino acids are found in peanuts and bananas, and in order to be actively processed into melanin, you need:

  • carotene - the largest amount of it is in fruits and vegetables with yellow and orange flowers (pumpkin, apricots, tangerines, carrots, peaches, melons, peppers;
  • vitamin A - extremely useful because it helps to improve vision, and this is of great importance in albinism; contained in the liver, butter, cheese (especially in white brine), cream, viburnum, garlic, seaweed and seaweed, broccoli;
  • vitamin B10 - in egg yolk, dairy products, brewer's yeast, carrots, potatoes, fish dishes, nuts, seeds and mushrooms;
  • vitamin E - in dried apricots, nuts, sea buckthorn, squid, eel, wheat germ.

Great attention should be paid to the work of the pancreas. Enzymes will take care of it.

Foods with high concentration of enzymes:
  • copper (which has not undergone heat treatment);
  • soybeans;
  • bananas;
  • apples;
  • avocado;
  • nuts;
  • garlic;
  • horseradish;
  • cucumbers;
  • they gave the seeds;
  • pineapple;
  • Kiwi;
  • mango;
  • dates;
  • grapes;
  • papaya;
  • unrefined vegetable fats.

It is important to know that enzymes are contained only in raw fruits and vegetables (under the influence of low temperatures the amount of enzymes decreases, and at high they are completely destroyed).

Harmful products in albinism

Melanin production is blocked by:

  • corn (especially boiled);
  • chocolate and all kinds of confectionery;
  • wine;
  • too salty and greasy dishes, also from smoked food;
  • excessive amount of vitamin C - stops the skin's ability to produce melanin.
