Alkaline foods are all those that, by consuming them, help maintain the natural pH balance of our body. As everywhere, there are paradoxes here: for example, all citrus fruits are allowed, even if they have a sour taste. During digestion, they give an alkaline reaction. And dairy, pasta and meat cause an acid reaction.

Nutritionists advise that the best ratio between alkaline and acidic foods is 70:30. However, reaching this ideal balance depends only on us.

 

How to start?

For starters, it is good to distinguish between alkaline and acidic foods, because, as we have learned, this is not always obvious. It would be best to make a diagram with the acidity of food or take a ready-made one.

It is important to realize that eating alkaline foods will only benefit if it becomes our way of life, and not use it as a one-week diet.
