Are Snacks Between Main Meals Healthy?

A little eating restores our ability to concentrate, energy and mood without being harmful to our figure.

Due to the busy schedule and many tasks, we sometimes miss one of the main meals or get the necessary energy with additional snacking between them. Ladies often resort to small snacks or treats and then feel guilty about it because they think they have added too many calories to their menu.

This is a delusion for most people. Small snacks between meals can make us feel more toned, without having to count excess calories and certainly this meal is harmful.

It is a healthy practice, when we feel hungry, not to pounce on a dish that is heavy, but to satisfy our appetite with a little treat - be it fruit, milk, coffee and even a biscuit or a piece of chocolate. A little eating restores our ability to concentrate, energy and mood without being harmful to our figure. At the end of a busy day we can easily "reward" for what is done with a favorite treat. The intake of energy and nutrients as part of the required amount of energy for the day is part of a balanced diet.
