- How to improve our food culture and why is it so important?
The whole food industry has been working in the same direction for many decades - to create an attitude in people that the more processed a food is, the more flavorings, leavening agents, flavorings and all kinds of other spices it produces, the tastier it is. We have come to the conclusion that the more food activates and irritates our taste buds, the more we like it. It is high time to regain the sense of complete, most authentic food - as it comes from nature. It is no coincidence that in recent years there has been a return to organic farming, a quest to go back to the village and the farm. There is nothing better than going to the garden and picking a tomato or an apple, taking an egg from the canopy, making your own cheese or yogurt. Such food, and not processed and semi-finished, is saturated with solar energy. And from food we must first receive energy.
Let's do a simple accounting - for its assimilation and to utilize food, we spend a lot of digestive and metabolic energy. But do we get back at least as much energy from it as we spent? Or do we consume only empty calories? And to put it as simply as possible: throughout our lives and with the modern diet, we live "in the red."
Let's take a typical example from the everyday life of the Bulgarian mother. He goes to pick up the child from kindergarten and brings him gingerbread or waffles, for example. There is no way to talk about these energy products. None of their contents have any contact with the sun or natural grass or any fruit or vegetable. There is only one hybrid flour, harmful sweetener, leavening agents and flavorings. Such a product satisfies, but creates extremely big problems and disorders in the body. When eating a gingerbread or waffle, the body will only expend energy and not only will not receive anything useful in return, but will be harmed. It's like we ingested toxins! And this is the label of modern human nutrition. With the usual food we eat, we cannot feed the cells. That's why the idea of food supplements arose,
- What are the health problems of the typical modern diet?
Food, in addition to giving us a feeling of satiety, also affects hormones, including the hormones of happiness, endorphins, and affects our psyche. A direct link can be established between nutrition and absolutely all diagnoses and conditions of non-health. Over 60% of humanity suffers from obesity. This is a huge scourge directly related to our misunderstanding of nutrition as a process. We rarely eat, swallowing large amounts of food at once, eating carbohydrates that are not natural - not fruits and vegetables. We eat mainly hybrid cereals, and they are extremely harmful because the body recognizes them as foreign. For centuries, people have eaten millet, einkorn, rye, barley. However, a huge part of cereals today are hybridized and genetically modified. They have new proteins and new carbohydrates. This food is not only filling, from it our body literally collapses.
Hence the threat of arthritis, and for women - cystic ovary syndrome. These foods destroy the cerebellum (we lose balance and become unstable), cause demineralizing processes, and we misdiagnose "multiple sclerosis". Inflammation of the intestinal tract is one of the reasons for not absorbing important ingredients such as vitamin B12, and the combination of consuming hybrid cereals plus B12 deficiency leads to early Parkinson's, nervous system damage, including impaired development of children in hyperactivity. or autism.
- What kind of diet should we adhere to in order to be healthy?
They always ask me which foods to eat and which not. While it is actually important to know when and how to eat! First of all, we must comply with natural rhythms - to eat seasonal food, to follow our biological clock. Nature doesn't care if we were on a night shift or having fun in clubs until the wee hours. We should get up between 5 and 7 in the morning, when the activity of the meridian of the colon is highest. Our day should begin with the preparation of the intestines for food, washing them in advance in the same way as we wash our eyes in the morning - with water. Nobody washes their eyes with coffee, right? Therefore, in the morning, immediately after getting up, it is good to drink between 500 ml (minimum) and a liter of water, preferably warm. Then the meridian of the stomach turns on and the biological clock tells us - eat! The maximum activity of the stomach for the whole day is between 7 and 9 in the morning. And that's why we have to follow the saying "Eat breakfast alone, share lunch with your friends, give dinner to your enemy." In the morning you eat the most. And in the rare cases where I have seen people having breakfast in the morning at the right time and enough - they are healthy. They are of normal weight, do not suffer from the scourges of modern times - metabolic syndrome, diabetes, etc.
One diet system that I respect very much is to have some protein at every meal. Let's eat a little, every 3 and a half hours. In general, no longer than 5-6 hours should be taken between meals. The more often you eat, the more active is the metabolic energy associated with this process. You absorb food more fully and do not gain weight from it. And another important thing - we should not eat angry or in a hurry, under stress - the whole metabolism changes.
Among the unconditionally harmful foods we must include: margarine, milk and all products with wheat, rye, oats, barley, soy, corn and white rice. Flax, hemp and rapeseed are also harmful due to their huge saturation with Omega-6 fatty acids. We must also be very careful about our individual tolerance to certain proteins. It turns out that children born after 2000 can hardly consume dairy products without having allergic reactions. And, of course, we need to clear excess sugars, not drink fizzy drinks, avoid desserts sweetened with glucose-fructose corn syrup. Always look at the labels for harmful dyes and preservatives - E's in food.
