At the Metabolic Institute at Adensbrook Hospital, Cambridge, she and her team observed 6,764 members of both sexes, between the ages of 40 and 75. At the beginning of the study, information was collected on their diet, physical activity, smoking.
On average, 3.7 years later, everyone has gained some weight. However, this level was lower among those who consume a large part of the daily caloric intake (22-50%) in the morning. Every 10%, doctors say, corresponds to 210-320 grams over a 4-year period. These results are independent of lifestyle, total caloric intake, initial weight.
Researchers also explain that the morning diet and a major moment in weight loss in middle age.
