Wash and peel the potatoes very carefully. We only need cleaning. Peel the garlic and a small piece of ginger root. Grate on the smallest grater.

Heat the vegetable oil properly and lay out the cleanings. Fry until golden brown about 3-4 minutes. Carefully remove the chips and transfer to a paper towel. Remove any remaining oil.

Salt hot chips, add garlic and ginger, mix gently. Cool down and you can serve.

Churros with mashed potatoes

 

Such an appetizer is good in that it can be prepared from the remains of mashed potatoes, for example, and served with absolutely any sauce that you like.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 300 grams; Egg - 1 pc.; Flour - 20 grams; Salt and spices - to taste; Vegetable oil - for deep fat; Cheese - 50 grams (optional).

 

First, peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water until tender. Remove from heat and mash to a smooth puree. Add your favorite spices, beat in an egg and add a little flour. You can add grated cheese if you like. Mix everything properly.

Drop the churros into the hot oil using a pastry bag and fry until golden brown. After that, be sure to put it on a paper towel to remove excess oil, and serve.

Muffins

 

Snack muffins can be served not only at home, but also taken with you to nature.

You will need:

Potatoes - 500 grams; Milk - 1 glass; Butter - 1 tbsp. l.; Cheese - 50 grams; Flour - 50 grams; Garlic - 1-2 cloves; Salt and spices - to taste.

Wash potatoes, peel and cut into thin slices. To prepare the sauce, melt the butter, lay out the flour and fry it until golden brown. Add minced garlic. Pour milk in a thin stream, stirring constantly. When the sauce thickens, add grated cheese, salt and spices to taste. Remove from fire.

Put a layer of potatoes in a muffin pan and add a spoonful of sauce. Fill this form up to the top. Send to the oven preheated to 190 degrees and bake the muffins for about half an hour until golden brown. 

Croquettes

 

These crispy potato balls are adored not only by adults, but also by children.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 5-6 pcs.; Cheese - 200 grams; Egg - 1 pc.; Milk - 60 grams; Flour - 2 tbsp. l.; Salt and spices - to taste; Vegetable oil - for frying. 

First you need to boil the potatoes in salted water until fully cooked. Drain excess liquid, mash into puree. Add milk and flour. If desired, you can add ground garlic, a pinch of pepper and other spices to taste.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater (some can be cut into small cubes). Combine with potatoes and stir.

Heat the vegetable oil, shape the puree into balls, or pipe the dough with a pastry bag directly into the oil. Fry until golden brown. Serve the croquettes with your favorite sauce.

Sandwiches

 

This option is good because the filling for potato sandwiches can be any - vegetables, ham or meat, cheese, etc. 

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 3 pcs.; Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.; Salt and spices - to taste; Filling ingredients - to taste.

 

Wash potatoes thoroughly without peeling. Boil in salted water for about 15 minutes. Cool, cut in half and carefully remove the middle with a spoon to form “boats”. Salt a little, pepper and grease on all sides with vegetable oil. Put in a heat-resistant form and send to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes, so that the potatoes are browned.

In the meantime, you can prepare the filling - sausage, cheese, tomato and cucumber, lettuce, mayonnaise and spicy tomato sauce, herbs, etc.

Cool the finished boats a little, grease with sauce and stuff with stuffing. Connect the two halves and secure with a skewer. Everything, sandwiches can be served at the table!
