Coffee Is Useful Against Erectile Dysfunction

The consumption of the refreshing drink should not be overdone, as this carries a risk of symptoms such as tremors, irritability, etc.

Daily moderate coffee consumption can improve performance in bed, according to a new study.

According to researchers from the University of Taxa in the United States, men who are fans of the invigorating drink, 42% less report cases of erectile dysfunction . The effect is not affected by factors such as overweight, obesity or high blood pressure.

This effect has been found to be less pronounced in people with diabetes . Among them, the risk of erectile dysfunction is higher.

Doctors warn that the consumption of the refreshing drink should not be overdone, as this carries the risk of symptoms such as tremors, irritability, anxiety , insomnia and stomach disorders.

The beneficial effect of coffee is due to caffeine , which triggers a series of effects that increase blood flow to the penis , relaxing the arteries and muscles.

Experts claim that about half of men between the ages of 40 and 70 are affected by erectile dysfunction to some degree.

During the study, participants reported cases of erectile dysfunction . It has been found that an amount of between 85 and 170 mg of caffeine per day is associated with a 42% reduction in erectile dysfunction.

It turns out that among those who consume larger amounts - between 171 and 303 mg, the percentage is lower - 39. Sources of caffeine in the study include coffee, tea, carbonated and energy drinks.

Previous research in this area has found that coffee can also help increase libido in women.

The survey data are published in PLOS ONE .
