  • vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, pumpkin, beets, peas, zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes (the latter are actually fruits));
  • fruits and berries (apples, pears, kiwis, avocados, mangoes);
  • meat (cooked, stewed, steamed);
  • liver;
  • fish and seafood (seaweed, mussels, octopus, shrimp, sardines);
  • nuts (especially hazelnuts and almonds, pistachios, pine nuts);
  • green leafy vegetables and green spices (parsley, garlic, celery, spinach);
  • beans, lentils;
  • vegetable fats ;
  • rice, buckwheat, millet;
  • gluten-free pasta;
  • eggs;
  • honey;
  • mineral water.

Fruits and vegetables should be eaten fresh (maybe frozen). Do not boil or, if this is done, do not process for a long time.
Cereal porridges should be boiled in water, as this preserves the useful substances. The broth is drained, there are none in it.

Dangerous and harmful foods in microcephaly

Exclude from the menu:
  • Gluten

Do not consume products with a high glycemic index (above 56). These are: banana, pineapple, grapes, watermelon, popcorn, french fries, sweet cornflakes, fast food.

  • Casein

Namely, fresh milk. It contains large amounts of saturated acids, which irritate the gastric mucosa, and this leads to functional disorders. In addition, antibiotics may get into the milk.

  • Left

Cooking salt causes swelling, burdens the kidneys, raises blood pressure and disrupts metabolism. The body gets enough of it through food, especially seafood.

  • Sugar and in particular sucrose

Useful sugars are considered to be fructose, glucose, galactose and others contained in fruits and vegetables. Do not consume chocolate, confectionery, white granulated sugar, refined sugar, sweetened carbonated beverages.
Sucrose is a disaccharide that breaks down into parts and is then absorbed. It raises blood sugar levels and puts a strain on the pancreas, activates insulin production, and accumulates fat. People with microcephaly should not be obese because they have weak muscles.
