The main thing in the diet for dermatitis is the exclusion from the menu of foods that provoke allergic skin reactions. In addition, products that contribute to the renewal and regeneration of skin cells should be consumed.

Dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin due to an external irritant. There are varieties of the disease: contact, toxic-allergic, seborrhea, allergy, eczema. The reasons for its appearance can be various, but we will not dwell on them, but we will talk about the food that is appropriate and harmful in the presence of any of the forms of dermatitis.

The main thing in the diet for dermatitis is the exclusion from the menu of foods that provoke allergic skin reactions. In addition, products that contribute to the renewal and regeneration of skin cells should be consumed.

Useful foods for dermatitis:

  • porridges prepared with water (oat, rice, corn, barley, buckwheat);
  • vegetables (turnips, zucchini, squash, cabbage);
  • boiled meat (turkey, beef, rabbit, lean pork);
  • fruits that do not contain allergens and are high in fiber and vitamins (sour apples - green varieties, pears, plums, gooseberries, blackcurrants, watermelon);
  • goat's milk, natural yogurt products (probiotic yogurt, kefir, etc.);
  • some fish with a high content of omega-3 fatty acids (sardines, herring, salmon, anchovies);
  • natural juices, fresh juices;
  • seaweed;
  • purified water (30 ml per kilogram of body weight per day);
  • vegetable oil (sunflower and olive oil) 30 ml per day.

Harmful foods in dermatitis

If you suffer from dermatitis, all products that knowingly cause the disease are unfit for consumption. Also foods containing crude fiber, spicy and hot dishes that adversely affect the already irritated mucous membranes of the oral cavity. Exclude from the menu smoked and marinated products, fast food (hamburgers, pizzas, french fries, chips, etc.), foods high in sugar and simple carbohydrates (cakes, pastries and other similar sweets).

In the presence of chronic types of dermatitis should not eat many types of fish, eggs, soy products, caviar, mushrooms, beets, carrots and tomatoes, chocolate, cocoa products, honey, red berries, citrus fruits, nuts, wheat and rye bread. To reduce the intake of: potatoes, corn, buckwheat, cranberries, green peppers, lamb, apricots, peaches.
