Diet №10 - For Cardiovascular Diseases

Purpose of the diet : to improve blood circulation, the functions of the cardiovascular system, liver and kidneys, to normalize metabolism, sparing the cardiovascular system and digestive organs.

Common feature:

The diet is characterized by the reduction of calories by limiting fats and parts of carbohydrates; salt intake is significantly limited; less fluids. Reduces the content of substances that excite the cardiovascular and nervous systems, irritate the liver and kidneys, which unnecessarily burden the gastrointestinal tract, promote flatulence. This therapeutic diet includes intake of more calcium, magnesium, lipotropic substances, products with alkalizing action (vegetables, fruits, dairy). Meat and fish must be cooked. Hard-to-digest dishes are excluded. The food is prepared without salt, there are no restrictions on its temperature. Feeding is 5-6 times a day (even portions).

Chemical composition and calories

Protein - 80-90 g (55-60% animal), fat - 70 g (25-30% vegetable), carbohydrates - 350 g, salt - 6-7 g, free liquid - 1.2 l. Energy - 2300 -2400 kcal.

Foods and dishes that are allowed and forbidden in the diet №10:

Bread and pasta : whole wheat bread (from the previous day) or lightly toasted (dried), diet bread without salt, non-fat dough, sponge cake. Prohibited: fresh bread, butter and puff pastry, pancakes.

Soups : 250-400 grams per meal; vegetarian with a variety of cereals, potatoes and vegetables (preferably finely chopped); with fruits; dairy. Soups are topped with cream, lemon juice, green spices (parsley, etc.). Bean soups based on meat, fish and mushroom broths are also prohibited.

Meat and poultry: lean beef, veal, pork, rabbit, chicken, turkey. The meat is cleaned of tendons and fascia and boiled, then baked or stewed. Consumption of: fatty meats, duck, goose, liver, kidneys, brain, smoked meats, sausages, canned meat is not allowed.

Fish : lean species (minced or stewed in pieces), cooked seafood dishes. Fatty fish, salted and smoked fish are also forbidden; caviar and canned food.

Dairy products : milk (if there is no individual intolerance to it), dairy products, cottage cheese and dishes with it (in combination with cereals, carrots, fruits). Limit the intake of cream (only if it is added to dishes during their preparation), yellow cheese. The diet excludes salty and full-fat cheeses.

Eggs : no more than 1 per day - soft-boiled, steamed or baked omelet, or in food. Hard-boiled and scrambled eggs are not allowed.

Cereals : dishes of various cereals prepared with water or milk (porridge, baked puddings); cooked pasta. Consumption of legumes is not allowed.

Vegetables : roasted or boiled, rarely raw - potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, beets, zucchini, pumpkin, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce. The intake of white cabbage and green peas is limited. Green onions, parsley and dill - only in dishes. Prohibited: salted, pickled, pickled vegetables, pickles, spinach, sorrel, radishes, garlic, onions, mushrooms.

Appetizers (appetizers) : salads of fresh vegetables (grated carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers), fruit salads, salads of seafood and boiled fish. Not allowed: spicy, fatty, salty and smoked appetizers and appetizers, caviar.

Fruit, confectionery and confectionery : fresh soft and ripe fruit (and berries); dried fruits, compotes, pickles, mousses, jellies, lactic acid and creams, honey, jam, non-chocolate candies. Not allowed: fruits with coarse fiber, chocolate, cakes.

Drinks : weak tea, drinks with coffee and milk, fruit and vegetable juices, rosehip decoction, limited grape juice. Prohibited: natural coffee, cocoa.

Fats : oil without salt, melted butter, natural vegetable fats. Prohibited: cooking fats, meat fats.

About the menu for diet number 10:

1st breakfast: soft-boiled egg, oatmeal with milk, tea.

2nd breakfast: baked apples with sugar.

Lunch: barley soup with vegetables, prepared with vegetable oil (1-2 servings), boiled meat with carrot puree, oshav.

Afternoon snack: rosehip decoction.

Dinner: 1-2 servings of cottage cheese pudding, boiled fish with boiled potatoes, tea.
