The duration of Protasov's dietis 5 weeks. During the first day, the second, the third, as throughout the week, you should eat only raw vegetables, cheese and milk with a fat content of 5%. 1 boiled egg per day is allowed. The amount of food is not limited, nor is the time of its intake. The idea of this diet is to consume as many vegetables and dairy products with 5% fat. Tea and coffee are allowed in unlimited quantities, but without sugar, be sure to drink 2 liters of water a day. If you get sad, give 3 green apples :). You can eat vegetables in any form: if you want, chop whole cucumbers, if you want, cut them and crush cheese with 5% fat, you can mix tomatoes with yogurt or make a huge portion of salad of all kinds of vegetables, grate a boiled egg on top and sprinkle everything with grated cheese. And just complain that you are hungry :). Eat calmly in the morning, during the day, in the evening, at night - all week. Continue like this in the next one.

Surprisingly, after the second week, you do not want to eat anything but vegetables. cheese and donated apples. Many people give up even boiled eggs, which they ate appetizingly at the beginning of the diet. At the end of the second week you will feel lightness in your whole body, in your thoughts as well.

At the beginning of the third week you should include in your menu a piece (300 grams) of roasted meat, poultry or fish, but reduce dairy products a bit. You will eat vegetables, cheese, meat, eggs and apples for the next 3 weeks. It is! The most intense weight loss occurs in the last 14 days.

Even those who do not have extra pounds to lose, it is good to do the diet once a year to cleanse your body.

Pros and cons of the diet

Protasov 's diet is great because there are no restrictions on the amount of food consumed, which is very good from a psychological point of view. Adhering to such a diet is much easier than to many others.

First and second week

Raw vegetables. All cheeses and yogurts with a fat content of 5%. One egg. Three green apples. Coffee, tea, water. That is all. In unlimited quantities and at any time.

Third, fourth and fifth week

All of the above plus a piece of meat, poultry or fish. Reduce the consumption of cheese and yogurt.

Protasov's diet normalizes metabolism, bringing it to its optimal state. Due to the lack of carbohydrates with a high glycemic index, the work of the pancreas is normalized and the passion for sweets is killed.

Due to the large amount of dairy products in the menu, the body receives enough protein, as well as calcium and lactose. This contributes to the loss of fat tissue while maintaining and even building muscle.

The diet requires the use of many vegetables without starch, and these are - vitamins, minerals, trace elements, cellulose. Satisfying and useful. The work of the intestines is regulated if you actually eat the maximum amount of vegetables.

BUT! Consumption of many vegetables in the absence of food containing starch is unacceptable for people suffering from diseases of the digestive tract (chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, duodenitis, esophagitis). Also, starch has a protective effect and thus protects the lining of the gastrointestinal tract from mechanical damage due to food intake. In people with these diseases, Protasov's diet will exacerbate the problem.

The fat content of the diet is limited, but the fat itself is not prohibited.

Why did Protasov ban meat in the first weeks? Apparently because of the fat. Even in lean meats there is enough fat, but in general you can find something very lean, for example, turkey or chicken breast, lean fish. By the way, the fat of the fish does not prevent weight loss, but helps it, but now we will not talk about it. In the first weeks, the diet is somewhat monotonous.

As for apples, according to many nutritionists, three apples a day should not only be allowed, but also mandatory for consumption throughout the course of the diet. This is important because it allows you to significantly "smooth out" the lack of carbohydrates and pectins. At the same time, it should be remembered that apples (especially very ripe ones) are not characterized by a very low glycemic index, ie they are able to raise blood sugar levels significantly quickly. In this regard, it is recommended that they be eaten not as a snack, but only with the main meal and better taken during the active part of the day.

To make the start and get rid of the craving for sweets, the diet may be appropriate. Of course, if you have an inner attitude to it and you are predisposed to the diet. An option for this is to start from the third week, and then to the three apples add other fruits, vegetable oil, some cereal. Make this your own eating system .

How to finish the diet:

1. To replace part of the dairy products (not all) with those with low fat content (0.5 - 1%), as compensation to the salads to add vegetable oil, but not more than 15 g per day (this is 3 hours . l.). Ie replace some animal fats with the equivalent amount of vegetable.

For information: 3 olives contain half a gram of "good" fat, three large almonds also have as much. Therefore, if you eat olives or almonds, reduce the amount of oil. Calculate fats all the time. They should not exceed 30 - 35 grams per day, including fat contained in dairy products, meat, fish, eggs (in the yolk there are 4 - 6 grams of fat), salad.

2. Replace the two apples out of the three with other fruits (slightly sweet and not bananas, mangoes or dried dates).

3. In the morning instead of fruit eat porridge (preferably from large oatmeal), the portion should not exceed 250 grams. You can add skim cottage cheese and fruit salad.

4. Replace some dairy products with lean meat, chicken or other lean sources of protein.

All these changes must happen gradually.
