About zero acidity of the stomach

Normally, in a healthy person, gastric juice has a strongly acidic reaction. An acidic environment in the stomach is necessary, first of all, for the normal process of food digestion, in particular, for the complete breakdown of proteins. On the other hand, the aggressive (acidic) environment in the stomach is a kind of antibacterial filter that prevents many microorganisms from penetrating the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and further spreading throughout the body.

For one reason or another, the acidity of gastric juice can change, both upwards and downwards. In some cases, we are talking about zero acidity - a pathological condition that occurs as a result of a violation of the normal mechanism of acid formation in the mucous membrane of the stomach.

 

The zero acidity of the stomach promotes the penetration of pathogenic microorganisms into the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, which contributes to the development of the inflammatory process, which in turn disrupts intestinal motility, which leads to constipation.

 

With zero acidity of the stomach, proteins are poorly digested, which can lead to intoxication of the body and the development of tumor processes.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to talk about complete treatment with zero stomach acidity. Drug therapy is aimed at short-term normalization of acidity, as well as improvement of digestion processes, which is achieved with the help of enzyme preparations.

Nutrition occupies a special place in the treatment of zero acidity of the stomach . Food should be approached responsibly, not allowing yourself products and dishes that can harm.

What can you eat with zero stomach acidity
 

With zero acidity of the stomach, it is allowed to consume products of various degrees of heat treatment and grinding. These can be boiled, baked or stewed dishes. Occasionally, fried foods can be allowed, but without a rough crust. Do not use breadcrumbs or flour for frying.

At zero acidity, the following products are allowed:

  • stale (yesterday's) wheat bread, flour products from non-flour dough with boiled meat, eggs, rice, cheese, apple;
  • low-fat varieties of meat (beef, rabbit, veal, poultry), low-fat fish (zander, hake, perch, cod, navaga). Meat and fish should be eaten boiled, baked or stewed. It is also allowed to use low-fat ham, soaked herring, doctor's and milk sausage;
  • soups prepared on low-fat meat or fish broth. Soups can be with cereals (except millet), potatoes, vermicelli, zucchini, carrots, cauliflower, pumpkin;
  • vegetables (carrots, zucchini, pumpkin, potatoes). With good digestibility, white cabbage, young beans, green peas, and beets are allowed. Vegetables are allowed to be consumed in boiled, baked or stewed form;
  • porridge (except pearl and millet) in water with the addition of 1/3 of the volume of milk. Boiled vermicelli and puddings (steamed or baked) are also allowed;
  • baked apples and pears. Fruits and berries are solved in the form of jelly, compotes, jam, jam or jelly. Strawberries, strawberries, raspberries, apples and pears without the skin are allowed to be eaten raw. You can also use freshly prepared juices (apple, strawberry and cherry);
  • soft-boiled eggs, omelets (steamed, baked, fried);
  • fermented milk products, cheese, cottage cheese, casseroles, mild cheeses, sour cream (up to 15 g per day). With good tolerance, you can allow whole milk in dishes;
  • greens (parsley, dill), bay leaf (few), cloves, vanilla;
  • tea, coffee with milk, decoctions of black currants and rose hips;
  • vegetable and butter (liquid) in dishes.

What is not allowed with zero acidity of the stomach

With zero stomach acidity, the following foods should be avoided:

  • beans, barley, pearl barley and corn groats;
  • fatty varieties of meat and poultry (duck, goose);
  • fatty fish;
  • hard egg;
  • mayonnaise;
  • smoked meats and canned goods;
  • raw and unchopped (not mashed) vegetables;
  • pickled and salted vegetables;
  • onion, radish, radish, sweet pepper, rutabaga, cucumbers, garlic, mushrooms;
  • raw fruits and berries with coarse grains (red currants, raspberries), gooseberries, dates, figs;
  • chocolate, ice cream and products with cream.

With zero acidity, doctors recommend fractional nutrition: often and in small portions.
