Sharp increases in hormonal insulin levels can lead to apathy and slow work of the internal organs.

Some scientists are convinced that this diet, like others low in carbohydrates, has its drawbacks. It is estimated that 50% of the calories consumed per day should be provided by carbohydrates, while the "Zone" diet is based on the consumption of fats and proteins. Others are skeptical that they are not sure that maintaining blood insulin levels can help with weight loss.

Principles of diet "Zone":

2. The intake of dairy products is limited (consumption of skimmed or low-fat ones is allowed); egg yolks are not allowed, only egg whites are allowed.

Sample menu for one day:

Dinner should consist of 200 grams of chicken, spinach with olive oil, maybe a slice of lemon and 150 grams of strawberries.

2 hours before bedtime you can pamper yourself with peaches, olives and skim cheese (100 grams).
