For dry skin, it is good to drink more water, but also to follow a proper diet that includes lots of fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Do you suffer from too dry skin? This problem is common, especially in the cold season (autumn to spring).

Dryness can be due to many factors: the change of seasons, very hot water, conditioners, soaps and strong cleaning products and other causes leading to dehydration. It is more difficult for women to cope with this condition than for men, because women's skin has the ability to lose moisture much faster than men's.

It is often recommended to drink plenty of water to quench the "thirst" of the skin, but this is sometimes not enough. For this reason, various cosmetic products are used to retain moisture and eliminate dryness. In addition, the food consumed also has great importance on the condition of the skin, because "health is evident from the outside".

Here are some tips on how to fight dry skin by changing your menu:

  • Eat lots of fruits, dairy products and fresh vegetables! They are rich in vitamins A, B and E. For example milk, apricots, avocados, wheat germ, plain yogurt (without any additives), melon.
  • Yellow and orange vegetables (carrots, pumpkin) - they are useful because they contain beta-carotene, which eliminates dry skin.
  • Sulfur-rich products - an excellent choice. Sulfur also helps get rid of dry skin and stimulates metabolism. Exemplary products: onions, garlic, eggs, asparagus.
  • Flaxseed oil - an invaluable gift for the skin.
  • Do not eat fatty foods and beverages, as well as those that dehydrate the body (alcohol, coffee).
