The synthetic dye obtained with the help of chemical compounds has a red color and all its shades. Not used in the food industry (only for coloring the outside of products that are removed and not consumed). It is banned in many countries around the world. Pharmaceutical and cosmetic products (toilet soaps, mascaras, lipsticks, glosses, blushes, etc.) are colored with E 180 in Europe.
This colorant consists of a mixture of calcium sulfate and calcium chloride. The red powder does not dissolve in hot water. It is used in the preparation of various inks, printer cartridges, for dyeing fabrics. In general, most colorants are not suitable for addition to foods.
No maximum daily dose has been set.
According to unconfirmed information, litholrubin causes severe allergic reactions. Rashes and accumulations in the liver are difficult to tolerate by people with weak immunity. Today, a number of studies are being conducted on the harm of this food coloring on the human body. Each chemical element can be harmful to our health, so we must consider the consequences before using it in food.
