We live in a time when our daily lives are filled with stressful situations that inevitably affect our health sooner or later. There are a number of therapeutic and medical methods for dealing with stress, but we hardly think that we could favorably influence such conditions to some extent, even with the help of food alone. That is why we have to pay attention to eating during stress , because the two moments are directly related to each other.

Eating under stress

A natural antidote to stress and fatigue are B vitamins. People who are deficient in these vitamins are more likely to suffer from depression and poor memory. They are found in dairy products, eggs, vegetables with dark green leaves, nuts, yeast extracts, bananas. So try to consume more of these products. A banana and a handful of unsalted nuts are a great option for eating in the office or at school.

Often in a state of stress, the stomach refuses to accept wheat, so if you feel nauseous after eating cereals, have breakfast with soaked rice or oatmeal.

It is best to avoid pasta, because the tired body will find it difficult to process heavy and fatty products. It is possible to get the boost you need for the day from a portion of eggs with pork or smoked fish, for example, which is a good option for breakfast.

If a cup of coffee helps you focus and work better in stressful conditions, don't give it up. But remember that caffeine (found in coffee, tea, cola, hot tea and cocoa) increases the level of adrenaline produced by the body, and when adrenaline accumulates for a long time, it can quickly deplete the body.

If you decide to part with caffeine, know that the first 24 hours will be the most difficult: in the beginning it is possible to have a headache and more fatigue. Drink more water and freshly squeezed juices, eat fruit (the fructose contained in them stimulates brain function). If you have to be in different places all the time, bring a bottle of water and a few packets of herbal tea.

At the end of a hard day's work, to relax and sleep peacefully, products containing a lot of starch will help you: pasta, potatoes, bread, rice. Of course, overdoing it is not a good idea.

Take care of your body and it will be better prepared to deal with the stress and difficulties of modern life. Do not create bigger problems and do not fall into deeper stress by undergoing difficult and perfect diets. Just remember that one small step in the right direction is much better than none. If in your hectic daily life you find time for fruits and vegetables, for some fruit juices and water, for a sandwich with wholemeal bread or for a fresh salad, you will help your body cope with any stress accumulated in you during the day.

It turns out that products that we consume almost every day affect our mood and our inner state in general. Here are some of them and the reasons to have a positive effect on our internal tension.

Foods that help with stress

Bananas improve mood

Dense bananas contain harman, an alkaloid based on mescaline, a substance used by people taking drugs to create artificial euphoria. In bananas, the drug is found in very small amounts, like cocaine in the car, but the mood improves.

Tomatoes and cinnamon relax and are aphrodisiacs

Tomatoes and cinnamon contain a large enough amount of 5-hydroxytryptamine, whose action is similar to serotonin. It relaxes people and makes them calmer. Cinnamon has been added to food since ancient Egypt, and it was known to have an arousing effect on its aroma. If you want to seduce someone, do not drink vodka, but feed them tomatoes and cinnamon. In this way a person will shake off the stress and will be charged with vitality.

Parsley strengthens the spirit and oil strengthens the nerves

In ancient Rome, parsley was given to gladiators before battle because it doubled in strength. It contains a large amount of vitamin C and apiol - the multivitamin substance. Therefore, the herb acts as a tonic. If you stick to a diet and avoid animal fats, you can become very irritable. Keep in mind that the oil, although an animal product and not useful for a number of reasons, calms and strengthens the nerves. If you combine the consumption of both products, you will enjoy more peace of mind and strength.

Onions - natural aspirin

The essential oil contained in it, alikin, has analgesic and antipyretic properties, as well as aspirin. An ancient remedy for headaches and body aches is hot onion juice. Vegetables are useful if you are under stress, because often the headache is provoked by such conditions and fatigue.

Hot pepper and cheese also lift the mood

These substances in the pepper, which we feel as "fire in the mouth", cause the brain to produce opiates, which later cause a feeling of euphoria. Mood is also improved by the amino acids tyramine, tryptamine and phenylethylamine contained in cheese. So just combine the two products and get rid of the tense feeling after a hard day.
