Encephalitis

In encephalitis it is useful to consume lean meats, cereals, low-fat dairy products.

Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain. There are primary, which occurs as a separate disease and secondary - a consequence of another health problem.

In the presence of encephalitis, it is useful to consume the following foods and products:

  • meat and lean fish (cooked or steamed);
  • fine cereals;
  • sour milk products (kefir, cottage cheese, etc.), butter and cream (low fat);
  • drinks - compotes, mineral water, weak tea with lemon (maybe with milk), fruit juices (not too concentrated);
  • pasta from 2 - 3 types of flour, rusks;
  • fruits and vegetables without coarse fiber.

Dangerous and harmful foods in encephalitis:

  • spicy, smoked, salty, marinated and fatty dishes;
  • sweets;
  • sweet carbonated drinks;
  • fast food;
  • butter dough pastries, puff pastry and shortcrust pastry;
  • heavy porridge (buckwheat, barley);
  • bean cultures;
  • mushrooms;
  • fruits and vegetables with coarse fiber (turnips, cucumbers, radishes, blackcurrants, gooseberries, raspberries, figs, dates;
  • mayonnaise, sauces, spices;

 The listed useless products lead to higher intoxication of the body, to disturb the water-salt balance, provoke allergic reactions, which further complicates the condition.
