Energy drinks do more harm than good to teenagers. According to a study published in the Journal of Pediatrics , the number of emergencies among teenagers consuming energy drinks has increased significantly.
Experts explain that the sugar and caffeine contained in the drink have a negative effect on the body of adolescents.

At this stage, the caffeine contentin energy drinks is not subject to control by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This leads to incorrect labeling of the caffeine content of the drink, experts explain.
The amount of sugar in an energy drink is between 21-34 years. Consumption of 2-3 drinks a day provides 4-6 times the maximum recommended daily dose of sugar , according to the study.
According to the research team in 2003, the consumption of energy drinks among teenagers was 16%. In 2008 it increased to 35%. An upward trend in consumption is expected, which could be detrimental to adolescents.
Consumption of energy drinks is extremely contraindicated in cardiovascular and kidney problems, diseases ofliver , as well as by children with a behavioral disorder.
