Fight Acne By Changing Your Diet

In this article, learn more about Fight Acne By Changing Your Diet. "We are what we eat," change your diet if you want to fight acne.

If your teenage years are long behind you and you still can't get rid of the annoying pimples, then maybe it's time to think about what changes to make in your daily life, such as diet.

You need to exclude certain foods and drink large amounts of water.
The number one reason for the appearance of acne in both adolescence and adulthood is indiscriminate eating and eating unhealthy foods.

Limit your intake of sugars, processed foods, snacks, chips, fried foods and preservatives.

Alcohol and carbonated beverages . Alcohol in small amounts has a good effect on the body, but large amounts lead to a number of troubles. Alcohol is a cause of dehydration, which can exacerbate acne. Carbonated drinks are high in sugar, which is food for the bacteria that cause acne. Excessive use of them worsens the condition.

Milk and dairy products . Dairy products, even so-called "organic products", invariably contain animal hormones that stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce large amounts of sebum. Therefore, limit dairy products if you want to limit acne. Be careful with hidden sources of dairy products such as salad dressings, for example. You need to provide other sources of calcium for your body - green leafy vegetables, broccoli, tofu, cabbage, etc.

Meat . If you want your diet to be effective, you need to reduce your intake of meat - pork, beef, including eggs. Don't eliminate them completely from your menu, but you should reduce them drastically - about 1/6 of the normal intake you have had so far. Excessive meat intake gives acidic character to body fluids and disturbs the PH balance. Meat is a rich source of protein, which is harder to break down. As a result, the proteins remain partially undigested and begin to ferment, producing sugars and yeast as by-products. These by-products provoke acne.

Pasta from white wheat flour. These are bread, biscuits, pizza, pasta, donuts, cakes, cupcakes, etc. The grain is processed with various chemicals - nitrogen, benzoyl peroxide and others. They can cause the onset of diabetes and increase free radicals in the body. They also cause a change in hormone levels, which exacerbates acne.

Sugar . Sugar and acne-causing bacteria are best friends. Sugar causes inflammation at the cellular level and causes premature aging of the skin and the whole body. Studies show that we consume at least 200 grams of sugar daily. To affect hormone-based acne we need to reduce sugars to 15-20 grams per day. Be careful and read the labels of the food consumed. There are many hidden sources of sugar. A pitcher of carbonated drink, for example, contains about 40 g of sugar, two standard cookies - about 7-10 g.

Tips for successful implementation of the diet .

  • Try to drink 1 liter. water until noon.

  • Start taking a probiotic. It will populate the gastrointestinal tract with beneficial bacteria and suppress the growth of acne-causing bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) .
