Chinese sages believe that sour food makes life happy, while sweets allow the body to restore energy expenditure. They are convinced that inner and outer harmonies are primarily the result of proper nutrition (proper eating habits). Such a regime, according to Chinese medicine, consists in the presence of the five main tastes in the menu.
Bitter food has a dehydrating effect. In order not to retain water in the body, thyme, oregano or rosemary should be added to the dishes. Various leaf salads, such as chicory, dandelion, red Italian lettuce, help to soothe stress, increased agitation, insomnia, reduce hot flashes and internal anxiety. But not all bitter foods are good. If you consume large amounts of bitter black tea or coffee, for example, the skin becomes dry and even wrinkled. It is better to drink green tea, because according to Chinese sages it helps to find a balance between the soul and body of man, harmonizes the flow of energy.
Acidic products have a positive effect on the energy of the human body. Such foods are recommended for consumption when you feel strong anger, irritability or internal discomfort. Very suitable in such cases are fruits, sauerkraut, cottage cheese, fruit tea, dairy products. Their calming effect is explained by the principle of "cold shower", they balance the heated body.
Thanks to sweet foods, the body receives the energy it needs to maintain the vital forces at the required level. Healthy sweet foods include: nuts, chestnuts, dried fruits, raisins, carrots, dates, figs, pumpkin, potatoes, fennel and many more. They all contain a large amount of fruit sugar, with which the body fights stress.
Spicy food has a hidden meaning - it helps to remove all energy blockages that manifest themselves in internal and external coldness and in a state of exhaustion. The following spices are considered useful: nutmeg, garlic, onion, chili, ginger, black and white pepper, horseradish.
The last fifth taste is salty. We eat more salty foods than necessary. As a result, water accumulates in the body, which leads to unpleasant consequences such as cellulite and hypertension. To prevent such problems, use as little salt as possible.
Include all tastes in the menu without overdoing it and enjoy good health !
