There are foods that give us energy. Others - as if they drink it for us. Here are some products that are good to avoid in the morning.
Bananas are rich in magnesium, which makes them a very suitable product for expectant mothers or sports women.
Magnesium is known for its effect in preventing muscle spasms. That is why it is prescribed to pregnant women who complain of contractions long before term.
However, magnesium not only relieves muscle cramps and slows blood circulation and heart rate and soothes. If we start the day with a banana, at some point we may find that we have not been doing well since the morning. It is preferable to eat a banana for breakfast. For the same reason, one of the most useful afternoon snacks is nuts. We need magnesium and other trace elements in them - but let's leave them for the right time for our biorhythm.
In yogurt , and especially the chocolate products, has tryptophan. Thanks to tryptophan, our brain synthesizes serotonin. This neurotransmitter is the main "fault" for feeling happy. Well, think about it, which happy person is being worked on and forced to do something? Leave the chocolate, although nutritionists will not recommend consuming it then, for the evening. Just before the planned "bed adventure", it will do a perfect job.
Yogurt can be left as an addition to the main course for lunch. Certainly, it will reduce aggression, calm down and allow the body to digest better.
Tryptophan also stimulates the synthesis of melatonin, which in turn is associated with the onset of sleep. It is no coincidence that in the Bulgarian dinner menus the meatless green beans as a dish are accompanied by a bowl of yoghurt for dessert.
When we mention the synthesis of melatonin, which occurs in our body with a decrease in sunlight during the day in general, we must keep in mind that the consumption of cherries and cherry juice can lead us to take a nap. They contain it. They are suitable for consumption in the morning, only after a night shift and aim to sleep.
Milk is a preferred and traditional food product for the Bulgarian table. Genetically, our body is designed to absorb milk and this atypical food for the adult mammal, as we humans are. However, do not demand too much of your Bulgarian genes, it is possible that intolerance to this food has developed with age. Watch out - if you often experience stomach discomfort after consuming milk and dairy products, perhaps conducting a nutritional test is not a superfluous idea.
Food intolerance leads to a feeling of unexpected fatigue.
Coffee is part of our waking ritual. Caffeine does have an invigorating effect, but it is also a diuretic. Sufficient fluids should also be provided with coffee consumption to avoid dehydration. In general, our body is slightly dehydrated in the morning when we wake up and we should not bother it anymore.
In a dehydrated body, metabolic processes are slower. This includes our brain. In this case, we will not be able to rely on good concentration, memory and other higher cognitive activities. The best time to consume coffee is after lunch, when the body has received enough fluids and needs a little stimulation to return to work.
Excessive coffee is dangerous not only because of the risk of high blood pressure. After a certain limit, instead of invigorating, it causes a sharp breakdown of mental activity.
Imagine a traditional British breakfast. The fat content is huge. Its composition made sense when the person was waiting for a grueling day with mostly physical work in adverse weather conditions. But today? It is unlikely that the bacon will charge us with tone - on the contrary, the body will need energy to break down this hard-to-digest breakfast, which instead of being charged we will feel tired. If we reduce the excess sources of fat in the plate, we may get a better option to start the day.
Sweets and generally foods rich in fast simple carbohydrates raise blood sugar for a short time. This creates a feeling of energy surge relatively quickly after consumption. The unpleasant thing is that the faster the blood sugar rises, the faster it falls. This effect is recognized by the drowsiness that is experienced an hour after consuming the delicious sugar dessert.
Therefore, an option, if we can not do without sweets and health allows it, is to combine it with other foods. We rely on whole grain options for breakfast - their process of decomposition and absorption by the body is longer, which guarantees a 3-4 hour presence of good energy and tone.
