Researchers at the American University of Cincinnati have found that a diet that includes low-fat foods helps reduce migraine episodes. The "added value" of these diets is that they also help reduce excess weight and prevent cardiovascular disease.

These are low fat or low carb diets and those high in omega-3 and low in omega-6 fatty acids. 
 
Low carb diets , ketone diets, can reduce the incidence of migraine attacks, but they require health monitoring. A popular diet that limits carbohydrate intake is the Atkins regimen. 
 
Low-lipid regimens emphasize reduced fat consumption. It should amount to no more than 20% of the total nutrient intake. 
 
 
 
To draw these conclusions, the researchers looked at more than 180 studies related to nutrition and migraines. Their analysis was published in The Journal of Head and Face Pain.
 
Their data show that coffee can be a cause of headaches for regular consumers. The group includes alcoholic beverages, especially vodka and red wine , as well as products containing monosodium glutamate, which is found everywhere in our foods: canned and packaged products, dressings, ketchup, barbecue sauces, Chinese food.
 
Migraine is characterized by episodes of severe headache . It is usually throbbing on one side of the head and is accompanied by complaints of nausea and vomiting. High sensitivity to light and noise is also possible.
