Food allergy is a reaction of the body to a certain food product or group of foods.
Wheat contains the protein gluten, which can cause an allergic reaction in the body when it is absorbed. Anaphylaxis, which requires urgent medical attention, may also occur.
Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction of the rapid type, characterized by contraction of smooth muscles and dilation of blood vessels, manifested by redness, itching, swelling, shock.
Yeast is a component in cakes, pizza, beer, yogurt, cream, dried fruits and other delicious and often consumed foods and beverages. It is a concentrated mass of yeast of the species Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which can cause allergies that can lead to inflammation, digestive or respiratory problems.
An allergic reaction to citrus fruits is associated with the appearance of gastrointestinal problems, itching and swelling. The most common cause is ascorbic acid (vitamin C) or citric acid in them. Sometimes even the smell of citrus can cause an adverse reaction in the body.
This type of allergy is relatively rare. The most common spices that cause allergic reactions are wild wormwood, cinnamon, garlic, black pepper, vanilla, cumin, coriander, anise, horseradish, birch pollen.
An allergic reaction can be caused by inhaling, consuming or even touching a spice.
Symptoms range from mild and frequent sneezing to anaphylaxis.
This is the rarest allergy. It is due to the presence of protein in the seeds, skin and juice of tomatoes. In these cases, it is desirable to avoid the consumption of ketchup, tomato juice, tomato paste and other products containing tomatoes.
This type of allergy is still the subject of scientific studies.
