According to scientists, the consumption of 10 servings of fruits and vegetables per day is associated with a 24% lower risk of heart disease, 33% less chance of stroke , 13% lower risk of cancer and 31% lower risk of premature death. .


Fruits and vegetables also reduce cholesterol levels, blood pressure, increase blood vessel health and maintain a healthy immune system. This is due to the nutrients they possess, but mostly to the antioxidants in them, which prevent DNA damage and prevent the development of cancer cells.
