Wash the grapes, sort them, remove all spoiled berries and twigs. Place the berries in sterile jars so that they occupy no more than 1/3 of the entire volume of the jar. Boil water, fill jars with grapes with it. Cover the jars with sterile lids and steam the berries for 5 minutes. Then pour the compote into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid, mix and bring to a boil. Pour the boiling syrup into the jars and hermetically wrap them with tin lids. Turn the cans upside down and insulate with a towel. After a day, the cans can be moved to a place for permanent storage. Compote is ready.
