Harmful Products From The Supermarket

Modern supermarkets offer thousands of consumers a wide selection of products for every taste. And noisy advertisements to the right and to the left praise their taste, quality and benefits. However, which of these can be tempted, and which delicacies should be avoided? The hidden sides of such desirable, but actually harmful products, and what damage they can cause to the body. To the list

Chips, croutons, nuts

Chips are a highly concentrated mixture of fats and carbohydrates, encased in dyes and flavor substitutes. Also, due to the peculiarities of preparation, many carcinogens are formed in chips - substances that provoke cancer.

Thin pieces of chips are fried in a large amount of low-grade fat. In addition, fat is often not changed. Therefore, so-called hydrogenated fats (trans fats) accumulate in chips, which increase the level of cholesterol in the blood, and this, in turn, increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Excessive consumption of chips contributes to obesity - 200 grams of chips contain about 1100 kcal, due to the high content of fats and carbohydrates, which is about half of the daily norm of an adult.

Chips are packed not only in beautiful foil. First comes the "packaging" of "chemistry" - dyes and taste substitutes. If the chips say "with bacon", "with onions", etc., this does not mean that the product actually contains bacon, onions or cheese. Appropriate flavorings are simply added to the chips, usually synthetic.

Salted nuts and crackers generously seasoned with flavorings also have a "reputation" of harmful products . Chips, nuts, crackers are also dangerous, and the fact that these products are very fond of children, whose bodies begin to break down from an early age.

Possible consequences: "Chinese restaurant syndrome" (increased sweating, headache, facial redness, etc.), cancer, other diseases.

Sweet carbonated drinks

Sugary sodas are a mixture of sugar, chemicals and gases. Such drinks, as a rule, contain aspartame (E951), a synthetic sweetener. Phelatanin, contained in aspartame, changes the threshold of sensitivity and, when consumed in large doses, contributes to the development of depression, panic attacks, anger and violence.

Another problem with this category of harmful products is that carbonated water with aspartame does not quench thirst. Saliva does not remove the remains of the sweetener from the mucous membrane of the mouth well, so after consuming a drink, a sweet feeling remains in the mouth, which you want to remove with a new portion of the drink. As a result, drinks with aspartame stimulate thirst, rather than quenching it. Also, due to the presence of gas and sugar, such drinks disrupt the acid-alkaline balance of the body, which can lead to many diseases.

For example, a 0.33-liter can of Pepsi-Cola contains about 7 teaspoons of sugar, while Coca-Cola contains 6 teaspoons.

In addition, sodium benzoate (E211), used as a preservative, suppresses enzymes, which leads to metabolic disorders and obesity. Food dyes and preservatives contained in colored drinks are a source of xenobiotics, which are persistent and difficult to remove from the body. Their accumulation in cells, especially fat cells, is the cause of chronic fatigue syndrome, a decrease in immunity, leads to disorders of body systems - diarrhea, skin diseases, stomach tumors, esophageal cancer, etc.

Possible consequences: cirrhosis of the liver, heart disease, allergies, exhaustion of the nervous system, cancer and others.

Instant noodles and mashed potatoes

Beef, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, plus practically spaghetti with almost sauce - this is how the manufacturers of miracle food from packages offer to eat in a royal way. Of course, it is very convenient to pour boiling water for 3-5 minutes into a plastic package, and actually get Italian pasta, fettuccini or risotto. In fact, we will receive a hot (for faster absorption) "mix" of all possible food additives and an absolute lack of benefit.

With the systematic consumption of such "mixed feeds" in the body, the digestive system is destroyed - it seems to get food and calories, but they actually contain very few substances necessary for normal functioning. Deprived of nutrition, it very soon again sends signals to the brain that it needs to eat.

Possible consequences: allergies, liver and kidney diseases, intestinal disorders, cancer, blood pressure disorders, oxygen starvation, nervous disorders.

Sausage products, smoked products and meat semi-finished products

Sausages, sausages, ham, dumplings and other semi-finished products contain more flavorings and dyes than meat. You can never be sure of the quality of raw materials used by manufacturers. The quality of sausage products directly depends on the recipe developed by the manufacturer. Also, very often they contain hidden fats (pork skin, lard, etc.), all this is veiled by flavorings and taste substitutes.

Smoked meat and fish also belong to harmful products due to carcinogens - they are formed in the process of processing smoked meats in the form of the substance benzopyrene. Also, very often mass producers improve the appearance and taste of their products due to the so-called "liquid smoke", and not the natural smoking process.

Today, more than 70% of sausages and sausages contain transgenic soy, and one piece of smoked sausage contains as many phenolic compounds as a person inhales in a city for a year (phenol is extremely toxic).

Possible consequences: nausea, diarrhea, allergies, headache, impaired vision, increased cholesterol in the blood, malignant tumors. In addition, the antioxidant substances contained in sausage products destroy the beneficial microflora of the intestines, contributing to the development of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. And food dyes and stabilizers contribute to the appearance and development of cancer.

Margarine, pastries, cakes

Margarine is almost completely transgenic fat (trans fat) - the most harmful type of fat. Therefore, all products containing it are harmful. These are cakes, cream cakes, puff pastry products, etc. Excessive passion for foods rich in fat and sugar guarantees metabolic disorders and excess weight. Also, such products increase acidity in the stomach, thereby disrupting the acid-alkaline balance of the body, which causes many other problems.

It is quite difficult for lovers of sweets to give up these harmful products , however, you can try to replace them — for example, with healthy treats: honey, dried fruits, etc.

Possible consequences: dehydration, diarrhea, allergies, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and skin, diseases of the liver and kidneys, dementia.

Canned products

Canned food is a very harmful food - it is basically dead food, seasoned with salt, sugar, vinegar and chemical preservatives. The task of the preservative is to kill vitamins and enzymes, because it is because of them that products spoil. There are no vitamins even in self-made jam, if they were - the jam would ferment. In this case, sugar (preservative) and high temperature destroy vitamins (for example, vitamin C begins to destroy already at a temperature of 60 degrees).

Possible consequences: metabolic disorders, digestive disorders, headache, allergies, cancer.

Energy

All components of energy drinks that supposedly increase performance and prevent sleep are unnatural, harmful products . Scientists have not yet determined the full composition of these drinks.

In addition, the dose of caffeine included in energy supplements is "a lion's share". Over the past few years, dozens of cases of fatal cardiac arrest after consumption of several energy drinks have been registered.

Therefore, if you need to cheer up, it is better to give preference to natural tea, coffee and other drinks. However, again, the permissible daily rate of caffeine is no more than 150 mg/day.

Possible consequences: headache, digestive disorders, allergies, mental and nervous disorders, addiction.

Chocolate bars, waffles, chewing candies, lozenges, lollipops, chewing gum

This is a gigantic amount of calories combined with chemical additives (which, moreover, are addictive), genetically modified foods, dyes and flavors.

All these harmful products contain a huge amount of sugar, chemical additives, dyes, substitutes, etc., so they do not have any benefit for the body.

Possible consequences: dehydration, allergies, diarrhea, liver and kidney diseases, gastrointestinal tract and skin diseases, dementia.

Mayonnaise and ketchup, other sauces

Store mayonnaise contains a lot of trans fats, which are carcinogens and cause an increase in cholesterol. The amount of trans fats in this product is not standardized, so how much "put" in mayonnaise can only be determined by special research. In addition, the product contains a huge amount of preservatives and stabilizers.

Mayonnaises in plastic packaging are particularly dangerous and harmful products . Vinegar, which is part of mayonnaise, is able to release carcinogenic substances from plastic. Together with mayonnaise, carcinogens enter the body and, as is already known, can cause cancer.

Also, this category includes ketchup, various sauces and dressings - due to the excessive content of dyes and taste substitutes.

Possible consequences: depending on the composition, can cause all the diseases listed in other categories.

Shop yogurts and ice cream

Thanks to advertising, we are used to consider yogurts as the healthiest dairy food products. Nevertheless, they are among the most harmful products from the store, thanks to their content of stabilizers, thickeners, flavors and antioxidants. Also, here it is worth mentioning the myth about live beneficial bacteria contained in some yogurts. In fact, beneficial bacteria can live in yogurt for no more than 2 days, and also, they do not survive in the acidic environment of the stomach and therefore do not get to the "place of residence" - the intestine (for this, capsules with bacteria in a special shell are used, which dissolve only in intestines).

Ice cream contains thickeners and flavors that can slow down metabolism. Which is, to a lesser extent, an increased risk of being overweight.

Possible consequences: allergy, liver and kidney disease, pancreatic disease, diarrhea, metabolic disorders, headache, itching, blurred vision, sleep disorders, cancer.

Alcohol

Degenerative disorders in the cerebral cortex, destruction of the liver, oncology, genetic mutations - more than enough is known about the harm of alcohol to the human body. People who drink live an average of 10-15 years less, and their quality of life is quite low - in addition to the above-mentioned health problems, they are haunted by mental disorders, depressive states, etc.

Even in small doses, alcohol is a harmful product and prevents the assimilation of vitamins. In addition, it is very caloric in itself - 7 kcal per 1 gram (for comparison, the nutritional value of pure proteins and carbohydrates is 4 kcal per 1 gram). And the main danger is that the line between "consumption" and addiction is very thin, it is easy to break it without noticing it.

Possible consequences: addiction, nervous and mental disorders, liver damage, various diseases of the brain and digestive tract, liver and kidney diseases, cancer, genetic mutations.

Vegetables and fruits

Even the most healthy and natural products can become harmful if grown, for example, near a highway or a factory. After tasting such products, you can get a fairly large proportion of benzopyrene and other substances that can cause cancer. At the same time, very often vegetables and fruits from supermarkets are treated with chemicals for faster ripening and longer storage. As for preservatives, they may contain monosodium glutamate. Poisoning with this substance can manifest itself in the form of a headache, spasms of blood vessels, and even metabolic disorders.

Possible consequences: allergy, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, headache, metabolic disorders, spasms, cancer.
