Poached eggs are widely used in cooking. They can be served as an independent breakfast dish. In this case, they are served with dried or lightly fried slices of bread. Or you can use a poached egg as a component of another dish. For example, lettuce (Nicoise salad), puree soup (spinach soup puree, pea soup puree, nettle soup puree), Eggs Benedict dishes.
When working, remember a few rules:
- choose only very fresh eggs for work (up to 3 days), because the yolk in such eggs will remain almost liquid.
Wash eggs well before use to remove bacteria from their surface.
- it is more convenient to cook poached eggs if they are first broken into a bowl or a small bowl.
- in a properly poached egg, the yolk is not visible. It's all hidden in the squirrel.
Remove the poached egg from the water with a slotted spoon or a large spoon with holes. This way you get rid of excess water and do not damage the egg.
Recipes with chicken eggs
Step 1
For work, we need 2 liters of water, 1 egg, vinegar - 1 tbsp. l., bowl, saucepan, spoon with holes.
Step 2
Break an egg into a bowl.
Step 3
Bring water to a boil. At the end add vinegar.
Step 4
Reduce the heat to low and use a spoon to begin stirring the water clockwise to form a water funnel.
Step 5
Pour the prepared egg from the bowl into this funnel. Boil for 4 minutes or 1.5 minutes twist the egg white in water with a spoon, which will float in a circle.
Step 6
Remove the egg from the water using a spoon with holes. The poached egg is ready.
Step 1
For work, we need 1 egg, a glass, a bowl, 150 ml of water, vinegar - 1 tsp.
Step 2
Break the egg into a bowl.
Step 3
Bring water to a boil. This can be done both in the microwave and in a saucepan on the stove. Fill a glass with hot water.
Step 4
Pour the egg into a glass of hot water.
Step 5
Place the glass in the microwave. Turn on maximum power. Time - from 30 to 45 seconds, depending on the microwave. It took me 30 seconds. Through the glass door of the microwave, you can clearly see how the protein hardens and turns white. It is very important here for the first time to trace and note how much time your furnace needs for this. As soon as the protein turns white, immediately turn off the oven. Do not overexpose the egg, as a too hardened yolk may burst, tear, and then you will have to wash the walls of the microwave.
Step 6
Drain the water from the glass and place the egg on a plate. The poached egg is ready.
Step 1
For work, we need 1 egg, water (1 liter), butter (5 grams), a saucepan, a food bag, a bowl.
Step 2
Put the package in a small bowl and grease it inside with butter. Carefully crack the egg into the bag.
Step 3
Tie up the package.
Step 4
Bring water to a boil. Place the bag of eggs in slightly boiling water. Cook for 1.5-2 minutes.
Step 5
Untie the package, get the egg. The poached egg is ready. This method is suitable for cooks who feel like a “teapot” in poached eggs.
Step 1
For work, we need a saucepan, a ladle, sunflower oil (1 tsp), 1 egg, 1 liter of water.
Step 2
Grease the ladle inside with sunflower oil. Break the egg and carefully pour the contents into a ladle.
Step 3
Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Dip the ladle into the hot water so that only the bottom of the ladle is in contact with the water. Hold for 1.5-2 minutes. The protein from the bottom of the ladle should seize and turn white.
Step 4
Lower the ladle completely into the water so that the water gets on top of the egg. Hold for another 1-2 minutes so that the protein grabs on top.
Step 5
Get an egg. The poached egg is ready.
