Required products :
4 eggs (at room temperature)
200 grams of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
100 grams of flour
100 grams of butter
150 milliliters of condensed milk
15 milliliters of cognac
50 grams of orange marmalade, jam or marmalade
grated chocolate for decoration
Method of preparation :
Beat the eggs together with the granulated sugar and vanilla until white.
Add the sifted flour and knead the dough with gentle quick movements. You need to do this quickly and easily so that the oxygen-saturated mixture does not fall. In addition, the stirring should not last long, because you will lose volume. Line a form measuring 30 x 20 cm with baking paper and pour the dough into it.
Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 30 - 35 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick.
When the baked bread cools down, cut circles (12 pieces) from it, and for this purpose you can use a cup and a knife.
Dry the remaining scraps in the oven and then grind with a blender or finely grate.
Make a cream. Beat the softened butter, gradually adding the condensed milk and cognac.
Spread the cream on 6 of the circles - they will be the first layer of the cake.
Put the remaining 6 pieces on them and spread with orange jam.
Spread the cakes with cream on all sides and roll in the crumbs you got when grinding the dough pieces.
Put the dessert in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Prepare the caramel threads for decoration. They need 100 grams of sugar and 5 tablespoons of boiling water. Dissolve the sweet crystals in the water without stirring and without closing the container with a lid. Cook until half of the liquid has evaporated and the syrup has acquired its characteristic caramel color.
Remove the mixture from the heat and with the help of a spoon quickly apply strokes on baking paper.
Let the threads cool and carefully separate them from the paper.
Before serving, decorate the amber delicacy with grated chocolate and caramel "threads".
Enjoy your meal!
