Method of preparation :
First make the filling. Peel the apples, peel them and cut them into thin slices. Put them in a saucepan with a thick bottom, cover with sugar and pour water. Stew on low heat until soft, then drain the fruit with a colander if there is a lot of liquid left.
Once you are done with the filling, start with the cream. To do this, beat the eggs, add all the sugar and beat for a minute and a half. Then pour the flour, stir, pour first 1/3 of the milk, then the remaining amount with vanilla. Stir and transfer the mixture to a thick-bottomed pan.
Place on the stove and cook until thickened, stirring all the time (this will take no more than 5 minutes).
Remove the pan from the heat and let the cream cool to room temperature (you can speed up the process by transferring the cream to another container).
Beat the soft butter and add the cream gradually. Refrigerate.
Mix the flour with the soft butter and grind by hand until crumbly. Add the cream and baking soda to them. Knead the dough, the process should not take long, it is enough to form a ball. If this does not happen easily, pour a little water.
Let the dough "rest" for 5-10 minutes, then knead well and divide it into 9 equal parts.
Roll each of them into a rectangle (approximately 8x14 cm) and place the filling on one half of the forms (lengthwise) (leave a little free dough at the end).
Cover the apple sweetness with the free part of the dough, pinch the edges and align.
Bake the nine blanks in a pan for 20 minutes at an oven temperature of 180 degrees.
When cool, arrange the pieces on top of each other, making three layers of three pieces and glue them with cream.
Also cover the sides and surface of the cake with the milk-butter combination and sprinkle with crushed walnuts.
Put the dessert in the refrigerator for at least a few hours, preferably overnight.
