Potato pancakes are a traditional appetizer of Czech cuisine. Here is an easy recipe for bramboraki. The ingredients are for 4 pancakes , and the preparation will take you about 40 minutes .

 

Necessary products

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon fresh milk
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • a little frying oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch of dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds (optional)

 

Method of preparation

Peel the potatoes and grate them, squeezing as much liquid as possible. Put them in a large bowl and add the garlic, salt, pepper, oregano and cumin. Stir.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, then add them to the potatoes. Gradually add the flour and stir to form a thick homogeneous mixture.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of the mixture into the pan and form a pancake. Fry for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Allow to drain on kitchen paper.

Try the first ready-made pancake to ventilate the taste and add more spices if necessary. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
