Learn how to cook "Chestnut and chickpea soup with tomatoes and garlic". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

20-25 large chestnut chestnuts
1 teaspoon chickpeas (about 200 grams)
2-3 cloves garlic
1 sprig rosemary
about 250 grams peeled tomatoes
olive oil to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Fill the chickpeas with water and let stand overnight. The next day, drain the liquid and boil the beans in clean water until ready. Pour the hot chickpeas into cold water and stir with your hands to separate the skin from each of the beans.

Make tomato sauce by grating them and adding garlic, rosemary, olive oil and spices to taste.

Roast or boil the chestnuts, peel them and cut into 2-3 parts.

Mix the tomato sauce, chestnuts, chickpeas in a saucepan and pour enough water to cover the products (you can replace the water with vegetable or meat broths).

Put the dish on the stove and let everything simmer for 30-40 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the soup hot by adding a few drops of olive oil to each plate.
