How To Cook Chicken Fillet In Honey, Mustard And Garlic Sauce - Recipe

Required products :

  • 700 grams of chicken fillet, cut into thick strips
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped

For the sauce :

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons + 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dijon bitter
  • 1/4 tea cup of honey

Method of preparation :

  • Season the chicken fillet with salt and pepper.
  • Mix the flour and garlic powder and roll the meat. Shake off the excess.
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the cornstarch. Stir and set aside.
  • Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken fillets and bake for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Work in batches, according to the size of the court.
  • Take them out on a plate and reduce the power of the hob.
  • Add the remaining olive oil and saute the garlic for 20 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
  • Carefully pour the chicken broth into the pan and stir to remove the separated sauces.
  • Once the mixture boils, add the mustard, honey, mayonnaise mixture and thyme.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return the chicken fillet together with the sauce that has separated in the plate.
  • Stir and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve the fillets warm on a can of mashed potatoes, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
