Learn how to cook "Chicken with garam masala, turmeric and tomato sauce". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 4 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon flour
  • 500 grams of chicken meat of your choice
  • 4 teaspoons oil
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 4 teaspoons finely chopped ginger root (or grated)
  • 800 grams of canned tomatoes
  • 1/3 tea cup cream
  • 1/2 cup coriander tea (optional)

Method of preparation :

Mix the garam masala, salt and turmeric in a small bowl. Pour the flour into a shallow dish. Sprinkle the chicken with the spice mix and roll in the flour. Save 1 tablespoon of the spice and flour.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden. Transfer to a plate.

Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry them in 2 tablespoons of fat, along with the ginger for about 5-7 minutes. Add the preserved garam masala spice and after 30 seconds add the flour. Add the tomatoes and bring to the boil. If you use whole tomatoes, you can mash them with a potato press. Cook for about 5 minutes.

Add the cream and chicken. Bring the mixture to a boil again, then reduce the temperature and simmer for 5 minutes until the chicken is completely cooked.

When serving, sprinkle with coriander, if you like the spice.
