How To Cook Chocolate Sponge Cake With Vanilla Mascarpone Mousse - Recipe

Necessary products

For swamps:

  • 200 grams of dark chocolate
  • 200 grams of butter
  • 140 grams of flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

For mousse:

  • 500 grams of mascarpone
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • teaspoon vanilla essence

Also:

  • powdered sugar to sprinkle
  • oil to spread the form
  • flour for sprinkling on the dish
  • detachable form with a diameter of 26 centimeters
  • cream ice cream to serve

 

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat (at 180 degrees).

Melt the broken chocolate pieces and the diced butter together in a water bath, the dish should not reach the water.

 

Let the mixture cool slightly.

 

Sift the flour with the leavening agent. Beat the eggs with the sugar, you need to turn them into a fluffy foam. This will take about 8-10 minutes with the mixer at maximum speed.

 

Then reduce the speed to medium and without stopping the process, pour in a thin stream of chocolate-oil combination in the foam.

 

Then reduce the speed to a minimum and then add the flour gradually.

 

Make a mousse, beating the mascarpone with the eggs, sugar and vanilla essence until smooth. Use the mixer at medium speed again.

 

Grease the prepared baking dish with oil and sprinkle with flour.

 

Pour half of the chocolate dough into it.

 

Flatten and apply mousse on it.

 

Cover with the remaining dough.

 

Using a fork, make "marble strokes" on the surface.

 

Bake the cake for an hour in the already hot oven. When ready, wait for it to cool enough to sprinkle with powdered sugar.

 

If you decide to serve it hot, make it with the addition of cream ice cream.
