How To Cook Couscous With Carrots, Cinnamon And Cream Cheese - Recipe

Required products :

For couscous :

  • 1 teaspoon couscous
  • 4 teaspoons fresh milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup carrots, finely grated

For the glaze :

  • 60 grams of cream cheese
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh milk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Method of preparation :

  • Heat the couscous ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, except for the raisins.
  • Let the mixture simmer until the couscous is completely cooked and the consistency acquires a creamy appearance.
  • Remove from the heat, add the raisins and stir.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with the butter, milk and sugar until smooth.
  • Serve the couscous warm, garnished with the milk glaze.
