Required products :

  • 200 grams of red lentils
  • 10 grams of cumin
  • 20 grams of coriander
  • 200 grams of onions
  • 500 grams of tomatoes
  • 40 milliliters of olive oil
  • salt, pepper

 

Method of preparation :

Peel and saturate the onion, sauté until transparent in olive oil.

Meanwhile, peel the tomatoes and mash them. Pour them over the onion, add the lentils, season and pour hot water if necessary (the beans should be completely covered with liquid).

Cook the mixture over medium heat for 25 minutes under a lid. Then transfer the lentils to a blender together with the broth, add the cumin, season further if necessary and grind to a liquid puree.

Pour the soup into suitable bowls, garnish with coriander and serve.
