French fries are a favorite of young and old and almost a month goes by without putting them on the pan. However, as we know, they are not very healthy because of their processing. Fortunately, there are various alternatives to making crispy fragrant potatoes without frying them and without adding excess fat. We present you with such an option, and you do not forget to share your impressions after trying them.

Required products :

  • 4 potatoes
  • 3/4 tea cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons parsley leaves

Method of preparation :

Prepare 2 trays for baking potatoes and preheat the oven to 220 degrees.

Wash the potatoes well. If you want, you can peel them, but the crust gives them a better taste, so if you do not mind, you better leave them unpeeled.

Cut them into long thin sticks.

Bring 1 pot of water to a boil. Prepare another large bowl of cold water and added ice cubes.

Once the water starts to boil, put 1/4 of the potatoes and cook for 2 minutes, then transfer them to the ice water with a slotted spoon. Blanch all the other potatoes in this way, dividing them into 3 more parts.

Remove the potatoes on a kitchen towel to drain off excess water and dry completely. Put them in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix the parmesan, salt and garlic powder.

Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil and stir, then add the spices and stir again to season each slice of potato.

Spray the two prepared pans with the cooking spray (or grease them). Divide the potatoes in the two trays and arrange them in one layer. Put them in the oven, turning them halfway, bake them until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes.

Transfer the prepared potatoes to a bowl, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with sauce as desired.
