Required products :
1 chicken fillet
5 eggs
1 onion if desired
2-3 medium potatoes
2-3 pickles
mayonnaise to taste
1 clove garlic
1 bay leaf
For jelly:
30 grams of gelatin
broth in which you boiled the chicken
black peppercorns
Method of preparation :
Boil the fillet in salted water, in which you put the bay leaf, finely chopped garlic clove and a few grains of black pepper.
Remove the meat and strain the broth and save.
Put gelatin in a small saucepan and pour it with 150 milliliters of broth.
Stir and leave for 10 minutes to swell.
Then place the pan on the hob and heat so that the gelatin dissolves completely, but does not boil. Strain and pour another 700 milliliters of broth. Stir and distribute the liquid in suitable molds or a wide container, with a layer height of 1-1.2 centimeters. While the jelly is cooling in the refrigerator, start preparing the salad itself.
Cover the bottom and walls of the salad bowl with plastic wrap and form the first layer, which is made of boiled, peeled and cut into small cubes potatoes, spread with mayonnaise. If you use onions, mix it with potatoes.
Continue with a row of diced pickles.
Then the chicken pieces and cover again with mayonnaise.
The last layer is boiled, peeled and sliced in the same way as the other products eggs, spread them with mayonnaise and put the salad in the refrigerator.
The jelly should already be firm, cut it into squares.
After a while, take the salad out of the fridge and carefully turn it over on a flat dish, using the foil, which you then remove.
Coat the entire surface with mayonnaise, and arrange the jelly crystals on it, coating the entire surface, starting from the bottom up.
Decorate of your choice and submit.
