Curry is a traditional Indian dish. This concept refers to various spicy dishes, seasoned with various mixtures of herbs such as cardamom, cumin, ginger, coriander, cumin, turmeric and others.

Curry with chicken and tomatoes is a typical dish of Indian cuisine that you should try.

Required products :

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 450 grams of chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 cm ginger root, grated
  • 2 tablespoons curry paste
  • 400 grams of canned tomatoes
  • 300 grams of basmati rice
  • handful of fresh coriander to serve

Method of preparation :

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and fry the chicken in pieces for about 5-7 minutes until golden. Transfer the prepared meat to a plate.

Put the remaining fat in the pan and fry the onion until soft. Add the pepper, and after two minutes - the garlic and ginger. As soon as you feel their aroma, add curry paste and stir everything to taste.

Pour the tomatoes and 200 milliliters of water. Allow the mixture to boil and reduce the temperature. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Put the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes without a lid.

Meanwhile, boil the basmati rice as indicated on the package.

Serve the chicken curry with rice and sprinkle with coriander at the end.
