Learn how to cook "Delicious food for Halloween - 3 recipes plus more ideas". Delicious recipe.

It's already October and many of us are excited about Halloween. Although a controversial holiday, there is something in it that we cannot deny - it can be a lot of fun. Whether we stop at very scary costumes or choose something to dress up as a favorite fairy tale character - the choice is ours alone. But there is no holiday that does not suit a delicious dinner. Halloween gives us the opportunity to act as scary decorators and prepare some sweet and scary dishes at the same time.

Here are some ideas to diversify your day and prepare something tasty and different.

Prepare your sweet "Witch's Fingers"

This is a very easy recipe, for this purpose you only need to use a classic butter dough and a few almonds.

Necessary products for the dough:
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 12 teaspoons cold butter, cut into cubes
  • 6 tablespoons cold water
  • marmalade
  • a handful of almonds

Put the flour, salt and sugar in a food processor. With a few pulsations of the appliance, mix the dry ingredients. Add the butter and again with pulsations grind it to get crumbs. Add the water and again make 4-5 pulsations, each lasting about 3-4 seconds.

Add more water if necessary to form a firm dough. (If you want, you can replace the water with 2 eggs at room temperature.) Knead the dough, wrap it in foil and let it stand for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

From the cold dough, form fingers by taking a small piece of it, make a ball, which you roll between your palms to lengthen it. Use a knife to make a few stripes to give a more realistic look to your fingers. Spread a little marmalade on one end and glue an almond that mimics a fingernail. Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.

From the same dough you can prepare cakes that you can decorate as desired (for example, you can make pumpkins).

To do this, use the following filling:
  • 1/3 tea cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt and nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and cinnamon extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon water

Combine brown sugar, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, egg yolk, pumpkin and condensed milk in a bowl.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3-4 millimeters and cut out the desired shapes. On the lower molds, which will serve as a base, lightly smear the edges with water. Put the stuffing and close with the other mold. Squeeze the edges with a fork and put in the freezer for 1 hour.

Brush the molds with beaten egg mixed with a little water and bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Spirits on brownies

To prepare this interesting and delicious recipe, you need a little imagination.

Necessary products:
  • 1 teaspoon + 2 equal tablespoons of flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons spice for pumpkin pie
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or pieces of chocolate)
  • 1 packet of butter
  • 1/4 tea cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tea cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

for the spirits:

  • 1 1/4 teaspoons gelatin
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • black glaze (icing) for decoration
Method of preparation:

Turn on the oven to preheat to 175 degrees.

Line a large rectangular baking tray with parchment paper and grease the paper (if you have cooking spray, you can use it).

Mix the flour with the pie seasoning, salt and baking powder.

Melt the chocolate, butter and cocoa in a small saucepan until combined.

Beat the sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs and vanilla in another bowl. Add the chocolate butter to them and combine.

Mix with the flour and pour the dough into the pan. Flatten and bake for 20-22 minutes.

Cool and remove the brownie from the pan, peel off the paper and place it on a serving tray.

Prepare the spirits:

Pour gelatin with 1/4 tea cup of cold water and stir.

Put the sugar in a saucepan, pour 1/4 tea cup of water and cook until the crystals melt - about 1-2 minutes. Cover and wait for the mixture to boil, cook for 4-6 minutes until the liquid reaches 114 degrees.

Pour the hot sugar syrup over the gelatin and stir with a mixer for 3 minutes until soft peaks are obtained (as a kissing mixture).

Place in a bag or zippered bag, the end of which is cut off.

Decorate the brownie by spraying different perfumes on it.

Make a mouth and eyes with the help of glaze (you can color the same cream if you work fast or use melted chocolate).

Leave the spirits at room temperature to harden before slicing the dessert. If desired, add a little food coloring (orange) and instead of perfume, you can make small pumpkins.

Meals do not have to be just desserts, you can also prepare something basic.

Broccoli soup with eyes

Necessary products:
  • about 1 pound of broccoli
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cube vegetable broth
  • 200 grams of yellow cheese (or hard Emmental cheese)
  • 6 hard boiled eggs
  • 6 pitted black olives
  • grated nutmeg
  • pepper
  • left
Method of preparation:

Wash the broccoli and chop them.

Melt 1/3 of the butter in a suitable bowl, add the finely chopped onion and garlic clove, add salt, nutmeg and pepper to taste. A minute later, pour the broccoli into the pan and fry for 5 minutes.

Dissolve the broth in water (about 2 tea cups), heat it and pour over the vegetables. Allow everything to simmer for about 20 minutes under a lid (broccoli should soften and the liquid should evaporate almost completely). Remove the pan from the heat, add the grated yellow cheese to the soup and beat with a blender until smooth.

From the boiled eggs and olives form "eyes".

Distribute the soup in suitable bowls, put their eyes and serve. You can also use wide deep plates, then you will be able to put both eyes in one place.

And here are some more dessert suggestions you can make using recipes that you certainly have in your own notebook:

Make muffins according to your favorite recipe. Decorate with whipped cream and colored chocolate candies.

Decorate the muffins with cream if desired, and on top you can put one eye - made of sugar dough, and for easier buy ready-made candies in the appropriate form.

This is for the braver of you, who do not turn their stomachs easily. In fact, the dessert is very tasty - make your favorite biscuit cake and sprinkle with ground biscuits on top. With chocolate, make several decorations that mimic the contents of the cat toilet.

Prepare your favorite stuffed eggs, and decorate the top with half an olive, and the other half make strips to use for the legs of the olive spider.

If you are planning to have a party, serving this pumpkin will become a hit. Cut the pumpkin by making a bigger hole in its mouth. Prepare your favorite guacamole, which you place so that it comes out of the mouth of the pumpkin. Pour the chips on the side.

Buy silicone molds with appropriate Halloween decorations. Melt different colored chocolates and fill the tins. Once firm, they will have delicious themed candies.
