Easter is celebrated in many countries around the world. In all of them the table is rich. Let's take a quick tour and see what are the traditional dishes that are offered on this day.
Great Britain
In the early festive morning, the Easter Bunny leaves English children with baskets of sweets and painted eggs. Having fun, the children look for the eggs, then compete with them all day, releasing them, rolling them on steep surfaces.
In England and Ireland they make Easter cakes with raisins and candied fruit. Cover with marzipan or glaze, decorate with 11 marzipan balls. In England they make special rolls with raisins and cinnamon, the surface of which is cut to form a cross. After baking, the incision is filled with powdered sugar and sprinkled with icing. Italy

France

Portugal

Malta
In Malta, they bake cookies in the shape of animals, cars, fruits and even dolls. They are made of thick dough with almond flour. Each cookie consists of several "swamps" glued together with chocolate. Decorate with colored glaze.
Austria
Austrians eat randling for Easter - a product of yeast dough in the form of a truncated pyramid and a filling of rum, cinnamon, raisins and walnuts.
Spain
The Spaniards prepare the so-called almond pestinos - rolls, flights with honey. Sponge cake with almonds and jam is made in Valencia. Decorate with Easter chocolate eggs.
Hungary
In Hungary, brightly colored eggs, boiled or smoked ham, and a braided pie are served for the holiday. The main "actor" of the table is the Easter lamb, which is washed with Tokay wine.
Czech Republic
The Czechs give each other a lamb-shaped cake. There is an Easter bunny on the table, which according to them "lays" the painted eggs.
Australia
The main thing for the Australian holiday are chocolate Easter eggs. Breakfast on this day are special rolls called "bun", on which is depicted a cross. But the "main character" is the traditional Australian cake "Pavlova", named after the famous Russian ballerina. The cake is made of kisses, resembles a ballerina's tutu and is richly decorated with strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, tangerines.
